Next behind is Altuve (2181), who seems to have a much tougher road.
Hes right on pace for about 200 hits this year. If he stays healthy he is a lock for 180+ pretty much every season.
-
nope. maybe Ichiro
-
Ichrio just retired last year I believe so he won't be in the game again until next year or the year after

Ichiro retired at the beginning of 2019 and hasn't been in the game since.

OK so maybe next year if he gives SDS his rights

Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of Tony Gwynn’s 3,000th hit. The program is for him

And since we didn’t get our yearly Brewers’ Molitor card they’ll put him in there as well.

His 3000th hit was as a Twin. I think the Blue Jays didn't like Molitor's age after year 3 of his contract, combined with the fact that the third year as a Jay was affected by injury and his production had dropped from year 1 and year 2. I think they assumed he was done and didn't really make a serious effort to resign him, so he went hometown with the Twins. All he did in '96 was lead the league in hits with 225 and a .341 average, and crucially got that 3000th hit. The Jays could have had a legend achieve a great feat in their uniform. I think most of us following Molitor's career knew he wasn't done yet and that rebounding from injury was one of his greatest strengths. In the end I'm glad he went into the Hall as a Brewer, but if he'd stayed in Toronto and achieved 3000 as a Jay, I think he would have been tempted to go to the Hall as a Jay, given that he described the '93 season as with his WS MVP as the pinnacle of his career.

Do we think these will be Milestone cards or Hall of Fame?

Good question
-
Could be a mix of both?
-
Does anyone know if it'll be a actual program or pack? The calendar doesn't say
-
@sbchamps17_NSW
I hope it’s not a pack -

Embrace the healing power of ... both?
-
Saying Altuve is a lock for 180+ hits a season at 34 years in the next 5 years or so is a big stretch. Especially since he hasn’t done that since 2017.

MLB The Show
@MLBTheShow
Mr. 3000. One of the best in baseball history!
#OnThisDate Mr. Padre got his 3000th hit in
@MLB
and today you will be able to play Gwynn's 3,000th Hit Celebration Program in #MLBTheShow 24
-
Milestone it is. Love me a good Gwynn card but would love a 1987 card with the speed. Oh well, the card art is fire as the kids would say

Pete Rose is banned from the baseball, however unless there is something in SDS's contract with the MLB there is no reason why SDS couldn't make a deal directly with Rose for his likeness.
With that being said, I severely doubt they would even consider it, in the contract or not, just because they wouldn't want to take a chance on upsetting their relationship with Major League Baseball.

Yet I was pleasantly surprised with the inclusion of Sosa, McGwire and Palmeiro.
Hopefully Manny is next. Not A-Rod. Screw A-Rod.
