Outfielders not catching flyballs?

I have found Showdown is awesome for forcing your fielders to miss the ball and then not throw it even though you hit the perfect line on the throw meter.

Had Yelich in LF on RS today. Ball hit him in the head on a routine fly ball. Even with 2nd position penalty he's still a bronze fielder. It's such a basic catch.
And the animations when your infielder stops a ball then runs around it 30 times before actually picking it it up.
Fielding is broken.

Yesterday afternoon was terrible in both RS and showdown for me. Not only were they not locking on but reactions were terrible, they would lazily toss the ball in when I’m trying to throw someone out trying to advance.
Then several times they would lock on but way too early and too far away from the marker and the ball would drop.
It was the worst fielding day I’ve ever seen and it was consistent all day long. Hopefully it was just an off day for me and today will be better

They added too many weird annotations, they add nothing to the game (they would never catch a simple fly ball at their ankles). Wish it was you have full normal running control instead of them purposely jogging then it gives you control at the last send and you run past it.

I had a routine fly ball go right though Ricky Henderson body as if he was not there and roll to the fence in a RS game this weekend. Only other problem I had with a Fly ball issue I had was in AZ playing on HOF vs CPU CQ game. It was tied 0-0 in the 3rd and my RF Mays started to Moon walk then when My CF came over to get the ball he did the same thing. CPU got an infield the park HR.

Seems way worse on warning track too, but bad. Guys do not turn around when running to track even when they get there early.
I do have one time it worked out for me that is funny as hell though ...

Had the same issue as well, even after their supposed fix.

Al Kaline took a liner off his sternum today that rolled over to center. I am legitimately concerned for his safety out there.

Same issue for me it's like my fielders stand right under the ball and all of a sudden they lose it. Happens about two times a game

I'm never one to complain about the game but it's a big issue.. I've lost my last 3 games due to fielders choosing not to catch easy flyballs and a couple grounders. Also fielders deciding to give up on runners in a pickle. It's a total mess unfortunately
