this game used to be fun and now just makes me mad. i don't even play online and i don't even play past rookie most of the time. idk what they did to the game to ruin the fielding and hitting but it's not fun anymore for me and i don't think i like the game anymore. truly sucks because it was like 1 of my 2 hobbies for the past 10 years, but i'd rather not be pissed off all the time. haven't played at all since saturday and i don't think i'll be interested in giving it another try anytime soon

You can play other versions, so you can still get your baseball fix in ... I’m confident they’ll get 20 playing better as patches roll out ...

This is more of a skilled base game and isn't for the weak.

i've never been skilled but had a blast playing for 10 years. i specifically play on easy against the cpu because i look for the fun casual baseball game experience, which this game used to nail. but even playing on beginner which is boring as hell is still like swinging a wet newspaper sometimes with the random results you get when hitting

Yeah, you can really tell it's "skilled base" when you throw a pitch aimed outside the strike zone, get a perfect release because you have skill, and have it go over the middle third of the plate and get hit 400+ feet.

I would recommend playing March to October on veteran. It’s pretty rewarding. The game will screw you some, but mostly it will let you win. And you are earning affinity points that go towards face of the franchise players if you play online. I had the most success power swinging until I got two strikes. Last thing, if you play on a tv, make sure you’re on game mode. The smaller timing windows would make it very difficult to hit if your weren’t using that. I’m sure you’re aware of that but just in case.

Don’t even argue with him, hr sucks so much he is scared to ever play online.

Since you play offline, do you play DD or Franchise? If you play Franchise you can always change the sliders to favor you in hitting vs the CPU. If you are just playing for fun than you should not get to upset. If you still need the baseball fix then you can always go back a play 19,18,17,16......

Yeap skilled bases when good okays are homeruns but a perfect perfect is an out. Not skill based at all. The hitting is horrendous at this point
-
I would say that 75% of my p/p contacts have been hits and if I’m being honest, most of them have been homeruns.
I hit a 487 foot HR with 108+ exit velo using normal swing (X) hitting lefty with LS Albies (contact and power in the 50-60s against righties) in an event game against 99 Kluber this week.
When I get good/squared up, that’s when the RNG doesn’t like me. Haha -

Perfect perfect is literally almost always a hit. It's morons like you that persuade the developers to make more changes that break the [censored] game.

Are you insane? Perfect perfect are not always hits. I went 2/7 one game on perfect perfects. And everyone was with a power rating of 80 or higher. Hitting is a joke compared to early release

Absolutely not true. I’ve had numerous perfect perfect line drives that turned into pop flies. The most recent one was off a 94 mph fastball. The exit velocity on a “perfect perfect” swing was 86 mph. There is something seriously wrong.
-
a couple people mentioned Game Mode on the TV, which I did not know about. Tried that, and it doesn't seem like much of a difference for me, but i was able to finish my march to october with the yankees with a world series win on beginner and get my gleyber card. fielding still sucks and swinging the bat is like swinging underwater but i'm giving it another shot and trying not to take it so seriously.
appreciate the feedback, except for those 2 turds

What? Not for me. I’m Batting like 250-350
On perfect perfectI’ll go 1-5 or so per game in perfect perfect. Even against the cpu . Shoot sometimes if in on I’ll go 4-12 on perfect perfect.... should be 8-12 at a minimum
-
ok I'm back to quit seriously this game blows

Doesn't the game basically play just fine offline?

HAHA so this is the guy you noobs keep mentioning that I was....he also speaks the truth so I can see why you people hate him.

If you play most of the time on rookie only ... You're going to see more errors and bad Fielding because of the difficulty your playing on. Players Fielding stats are very important to stopping errors and outfielders making better reads... If your playing with a bronze team or a silver team or Big Papi at first.. Nelly Cruz JD Martinez in the OF.. you're going to see some bad Fielding
