Daily XP cap?

The "outrage' comes from the fact that a lot of their work schedules prevent them from playing this game every day. Therefore, they want to maximize their time gaining XP rewards on their day(s) off.For example, instead of getting to play 4 hours for 7 days a week, they may only get to play 8 hours a day twice a week or so.
One possible solution may be to have a weekly XP cap, instead of a daily cap. Therefore, you allow users to earn their reward XP around their own weekly work schedule, and still have a power creep.

100% this. I can play far more on weekends than weekdays due to work and family obligations. A weekly cap would be much more digestible. As it stands now it caters to those that can play roughly the same amount on a daily basis. I’m just guessing that the vast majority of the player base works or has school during the week so it would be a very welcome change moving to a weekly cap. Not all of us are streamers, content creators, retired, or can simply play the game while on the clock at or desk jobs.

@Teak2112 It is 1000% daily. Otherwise, you would see people with XP cooldown timers with days remaining. The highest I think I've seen is 10 hours. And the XP track is all there is. The programs were done during early access. TA was finished days ago. And I've played so little I've not even hit the XP cap yet. I get to collect innings in Ranked (stats have been done) and get XP. That's it. I couldn't care less about PXP on cards that I won't be using in three weeks anyway. And the "wildly" different experiences is due to what else they were doing. It's only gameplay XP. Depends on what other XP you acquire during the time period as to how much XP you get before you hit the cap.

I just hit the xp cap at about 20k xp. I haven’t played for three days and would like to be a me to at least attempt to catch up but that seems like it’ll be impossible.

@JCoppock5 They always swing and miss. Patch whats good for them and not for the gamers. someone is exploiting the game for xp, then patch. Not the people that legit grind it.

weekly caps make the absolute most sense but these gaming companies are trying to keep high levels of engagement as artificial as it is as some way of showing a revenue correlation. I bet the analytics proves this not to be the case if they let a competent analyst into their databases

@aaronjw76 I think high engagement has been shown to = higher # of microtransactions. That's what they're chasing.

) … but still: Why the outrage? It is still a great game and you will get your rewards … eventually. The best thing to me is (and nobody mentions this) that they keep the power creep under control … This is awesome -

I've been playing everyday. Today I played 15 Conquest games and 2 vs CPU 9 inning games I hit the cap for the first time since launch, I probably earned about 35-40k XP today, that's not alot, I can play Saturday and Sundays unlimited, but only 2-3 hours during the week.

Honestly the lower xp cap has lowered any chance i'd buy any stubs to buy any of the 40k packs they continue to drop. Why drop more money on the game if I can't even make it up a full level a day after a certain point in the xp path. Throttling your players at such a low cap is horrible, I wouldn't be surprised to see a bigger drop off earlier in the games cycle this year.

At first the weekly XP cap seems like a good idea, but I guarantee that someone would hit it in a couple of days and then complain that they could not earn XP for 5 whole days

XP is going slow for me i dunno what im doing wrong. I just hit the first Captain pack in reward path. Things I've done so far the starter program, spring program, 3 eggs from Easter program, did 35 wins on 1st Event, im currently 4 of 6 TAs done, two ta conquest maps done, one ta showdown done and i just started to do the Ranked program. That's going off the top of my head. So all that im sitting at around 160k and im feeling like ill never see the end of the reward path and i was hoping to get to the Billy Williams card for my cubbies theme team but im getting discouraged
