Why even have a "perfect perfect" swing feature if it results in an out a majority of the time. The "9 out of 10 times" its a hit is BS. Im tired of seeing perfect perfect just for a line drive to be caught by the shortstop or by the outfielder on the warning track. Either fix it or take it out!!

In my first 40 games (all Conquest games) I've had 58 Perfect-Perfects where I've had 9x LOs, 1x FO, and 48x hits (8x 1Bs, 11x 2Bs, 0x 3Bs and 29x HRs). My Perfect-Perfect batting average would be .828 while using many low level diamonds and some golds while also not playing the game regularly since last July (my timing and PCI placement is slightly off from my "normal" timing and placement). I would think if we look at SDS's data, we would find it pretty close to 9/10 or .900 or 90%.

I'm ok with P/P being outs...especially when I scold it right at the fielder. My issue comes when they're sinking screaming gappers going down faster than a gold digger at the high roller table and the AI dives 45 feet to get to it.

This topic never seems to go away. "Why did the fielder catch my perfect/perfect?" "Why did my perfect/perfect die at the wall? I mean, yeah, it was a low sinker, but I hit it perfectly." Sigh.

@Blind_Bleeder Dying at the track ticks me off but that's baseball. Like I said, mine is with those sinking gappers that the fielder has no business getting to that really irk me.

“That’s baseball” is fine, but this is a video game. Babe Ruth did not throw 99mph fastballs and 96 mph sinkers (out of the pen or otherwise).

I think this topic keeps coming up because perfect perfects don’t really seem like a reward.

No matter what percentage of them wind up being hits, extra base or otherwise, perfect swings that make outs often seem to come against a pitcher with high confidence.

I’m sure we’ve all lost ranked games where we have a half dozen or so perfect swings and the opponent has none.

There needs to be a balance between “realistic” simulation and enjoyable, satisfying gameplay.

IMO, “that’s baseball” belongs to the former, not the latter.

I don't mind outs, but just once id like to see that 115 liner to third or short go right past him or he puts his glove defensively to protect his face and falls backwards as it deflects off him.
shouldn't be an automatic out just cause it's right at him.

It’s hits like those that you just gotta remember it’s about the process.

Can confirm, as a 1B formerly 3B in ball IRL...sometimes self preservation takes over and this does happen. Maybe once in a blue moon at the MLB level, but it does happen

@LuvMyXBOX This … and to everybody complaining: There is RBI Baseball for you … Perfect Hits will not always have perfect results, ask every baseball player. This is „… THE SHOW“ and that is the way it is … in the Show 😉
