    @Blind_Bleeder Doubtful. The MLB series has never featured a pitcher on the cover (Ohtani is the obvious asterisk, but even then he was never shown pitching on either cover

    Very weird since 2k almost always featured pitchers on the cover

    That's why I'm wondering if maybe this is the year. Chances are it's Albies and JRam (because they had tours of the facility in 23 like Jazz did in 22), but you never know. Or maybe, they'll continue their Captain theme for the alternate cover.

    @AfterShockGamer_XBL Nah. On the cover it shows him pitching and batting but I agree. I wish they’d give a pitcher the cover at some point. How can you have the careers of Kershaw, Verlander and Scherzer and never have be on the cover?

    Although nobody should have an issue if it winds up being Acuna, I am sure there will be a few people arguing that somebody else was more deserving.

    I had JRam for the exact reason … Never saw the Albies studio tour though … I would like both. If both were there, we got our choice.

    I’m hoping a star from the Negro Leagues who played in MLB is the cover for the special edition. Maybe the player who is the reward for finishing the Negro League program in 24. Now, that would be cool.

    @LuvMyXBOX It should but

    • the colors don't match the Dodgers— not a deal breaker but still notable
    • He just signed a deal for Konami's game which has strict rules about exclusive cover star rights

    ok were only a few days away from the big cover reveal so I will throw my best guess into the hat. I think Ronnie may be a deep fake, but not too far from home, I will go with Ozzie Albies, with him being the final core collection reward and his involvement with SDS seems like a good fit here. I am not guessing he will be on every cover but IMO makes an appearance.

    I doubt it. I am a Twins fan, but I'm also realistic. He hasn't done much in the game lately to make him a draw to buy the video game. He's had a difficult time even playing an entire season lately.

    Not Kyle's department, so no.

    Considering the color splash of the ad, maybe it's the Brewers or Pirates? Maybe a legend from one and an active player from another?

    The graphic in this video is not on any of the MLBTS social channels. So, they probably didn't make it. The one that is by them has yellow around the outside of the graphic. In addition, in their one on Facebook, there is a short clip and at the end, there are two bats. One has a red handle with a black strip separating a gold barrel, and the other is all silver. They both have LS stamped on them.

    So what's your guess? Is the video just fan made or is it really Sony?

    Fan made. If it was by Sony, it would be on at least one of the MLBTS social media channels.
