Call my crazy but I’m close to having Bench parallel 5 and he’s been great for me.
Obviously a little biased but it feels nice to be able to use him and have success with him this year given his swing type held him back in previous years

Bench actually has a great swing this year. He can turn on up and in and has lots of power to the alleys.
Agree, it’s crazy the pop he has to right-center. Even more satisfying when your opponent thinks it’ll be easy to jam you using Bench, then you turn on something for a no doubter to LF.
Can’t wait for his 99/99s?
Another thing I have noticed is that the 92 Mays can turn on inside pitches this year also. So a 99 Mays and a 99 Bench will be beyond awesome.

Realmuto cards always play well for me and this one has been no different. Will buy Posada (whose cards I always love as well) eventually but not until I P5 JT.

Been using Kensuke since I unlocked him on God Squad. I have had a hard time finding good RHB batters I hit well with in outfield so have Biggio leading off and playing corner outfield. Biggo would be my number 2 catcher option for sure though. Mauer always plays above his stats and I did well in ranked with his lower tier cards last year coupled with the lack of good lefty pitchers he would be my third option but Kensuke destroys baseballs so wouldn't take him out of lineup for any reason.
I have the same problem. Have you tried Witt and Rickey?

He does OK at 1b as well.

I had WBC Ford in my most recent RS lineup been using Biggio back there when I grind Charisma program... but when I get Future Stars Alvarez it'll be touch to get him out of my lineup as long as he's eligible.

I’ll echo the sentiments about Bench’s new swing. I’ve always tried to use him because I’m a big Johnny bench fan, but I’ve never been able to hit with his card. I used him to grind out some PXP for the reds TA and I’ve stuck with him for a couple weeks now. I can’t imagine what a 99 Bench is going to look like.

I use Biggio as I'm not a great hitter and have hard time stringing hits together to score runs. So I stack speed so singles become triples via base stealing.

The CAP community is afraid to come out, I use my created player, Endy Rodriguez and Mitch Garver because Realmuto’s price sky rocketed and I had to sell him

Right now I'm using Captain Rutschman (already at P4) and have FS Endy Rodriguez on the bench.
May swap one of them out for JT if I'm ever lucky enough to pack him; unless he's crazy expensive and I might just sell him.
If it matters; this is strictly offline unless I can get one of the above to populate in a BR draft.

Been using Kensuke all year, but I think I'll give Bench a try. I love using old-timers and I'm hearing that Bench is better this year. A Reds theme-team is shaping up nicely -- there are some killers out already...

Have tried Witt. Plays above his attributes but just not someone that is more than a bench defense player for me. Haven't tried Rickey yet hoping to get him on a spin
