Buying low cards to flip later?
-
I'm assuming people do this right? Beginning of the season, a lot of players with underrated cards that are starting off the season super hot.
I was wondering what low cards you guys might be picking up to hopefully flip later? Guessing that their rating shoots way up in the first update.

You expect the MLB Marketplace Oligarchs to give their secrets? They have peasants to keep poor while they can grow their wealth
Well.... I'm hoping...

No one is going to do your homework for you.

I agree with this. Profits over people when it comes to the community marketplace.
But to answer OPs question, it's more or less just following baseball and finding guys that are getting hot or who were underrated to begin the year. The only wrench in the system is that SDS selectively uses a "3 year average" to determine the ratings. But I put emphasis on the word selectively because if a big name rookie gets called up he'll sometimes get a higher rating initially than someone who actually deserves it (Looking at you Wander Franco).

They're still over-reacting over the Judge rating fiasco of 2017.

It’s called investing.
You did not invent this idea.
Follow baseball. Take good risks. You will be marginally rewarded.
-
Alright. Thanks guys. Was kinda curious other people picks, but I see that's not going to happen. Understandable. Personally I'm looking at Ty France and picked up a few.

Keep track off the best hitters and pitchers each month, thats the best suggestion anyone is going to give you. It defeats the purpose of investing if everyone knows what your invested in.

I suppose... but even quick sell rates raise with a players card... I wasn't thinking like what people do with the Trout, Ohtani, Judge cards and jack the market price up. I meant more buying low and quick selling high later.
But I guess I can see that messing the market up too, thinking about it.

Lots of people are still certainly willing to share so don’t worry. You just caught the forum game a little to early in the day. I mean all people use Ferris for is to do their homework and now he’s acting like he’s against it lmfao.

Haha. Gotcha. Well I'm new to this forum. And an xbox guy so still new to The Show in general. Awesome game and I love it.

I don't mind helping with "where/how can I get this card"? questions. Other people acquiring cards (only marginally) affects me.
But I'm out there hustling for stubs like everyone else (and dealing with the early-cycle garbage margins).

Whatcha mean by "early-cycle garbage margins?"
Like just that a lot of card aren't worth anything yet?
-
I have 75 of one player on the Rays and like 80 of one player on the D-backs....

Yea margins frk suck right now

If a certain guy on the D-backs gets a realistic update then I'm going to make a killing. Locked in a ton of him at about 100 stubs a piece. His price should peak right before the update unless he tanks. Now that I've written it, he will. It's like saying "Macbeth" in a theater...

There’s a difference between “investing” and “flipping.” There are lots of good videos on YouTube, but what you’re describing is “investing.” Buy low, plan to sell high. “Flipping” is more along the lines of day trading — buy some cards with a good margin and sell them right back ASAP.
I’ve gotten rich flipping uniforms. I don’t care if everyone hears. Go flip some unis bros. There’s plenty of fake money for everyone!
