Sigh. It's not about his political stance. People can support whoever they want. It's the way they do it that burns bridges. And he did it with a lot of gasoline and a lot of matches.

Though I don't believe for a second it will happen I am hoping for Ted Simmons. With Yadi retiring and out of the game for the foreseeable future the Cardinals need a good legend catcher since any Contreras flashback would be a Cub card. He wasn't a power hitting catcher but neither was Yadi and Simmons was a switch hitter!

Would love to see them bring Rogers Hornsby and Ty Cobb. Both had great swings and Cobb did everything well.
