Agree w/ most here… at the time I didn’t like it (which doesn’t mean squat to Scott), but if Ray had succeeded, I would have simply thought HOW AESOME IS IT THAT WE (the Ms, but as fans we like to include ourselves ) JUST PULLED OFF AN UPSET WIN IN HOUSTON! More so than thinking about it being a genius move…
But, I suppose, as a fan, all I can pray for now is SEA isn’t completely shell shocked after all this and performs over the next 3 games!!
I’ll end on another sour, yet similar call… “just run Marshawn”!!! 🤪

P.S. loved the Scott S. Astros card! Great conspiracy!

Managerial decisions in the post season are always magnified. It worked in 2001. However, I’ve never been a fan of taking out the closer in favor of a starter who’s not used to coming in the game late.
Exactly, just let the [censored] guy pitch, he knows what he's doing

I think Russ experienced that a little bit the other day too when they lost on a 4th in 1 in the red zone, it made me think of that almost immediately after.

Dusty Baker out-managing someone in a playoff game just might be the most shocking thing this century.

Yeah, never been a huge fan of him, Hinch was better but ya' know - bang, bang, ooh a juicy inside changeup.

Hinch has his hands full in Detroit now.

Detroit is an absolute garbage fire right now.

Do you think anyone can convince Javier Baez to take a pitch?

Did Dusty really out manage him? I mean he just rolled with it. But I def get your take and it’s true!
-
I mean it’s pretty clear the difference in the series so far is Yordan Alvarez, full stop. That pitch he hit 371’ oppo was 98mph well off the plate. Tip of the 🧢.

True story.
Went to Cincy in 2008 to see the Battle of Ohio (and to get a Brandon Phillips Bobblehead!). Dusty was skippering the Reds at the time.
Bottom 9 and the Reds are down a run. Men on 1st & 2nd and Adam Dunn is up.
If you were the manager, what would you do? Well, if you’re Dusty, you ask Dunn to bunt. THREE TIMES! He takes two balls and bunt fouls the third. And then …

Well, there is the conspiracy theory that Scott and Jerry sabotaged the Angels on their way out the door to come to Seattle!

Anyone know who the pitcher was when Servais caught the no-hitter for Houston?

The late Darryl Kile.
