Lol at a Phillies fan calling any other fan base obnoxious.
Regardless of that tho the Mets didn’t choke up the division, the Braves did indeed go nuts the last few months. It’s hard to say a team choked when their longest losing streak was 3 games. Saying they choked is just stupid and just shows your bias against them. With that said any kind of bashing or bad mouthing you want to give them for how they played in the wild card series is deserved. They embarrassed themselves and fell completely flat when it was all on the line.
It is mutual, come to CBP when they mets are there and you will see.
though the braves are monsters, this is just the mets being the mets.happens every year, this year it just took to september for it to happen. -

Mets don’t win anything… I don’t understand why any team hates them they are a bunch of losers (as a die hard Mets fan)
-
I wonder if Cohen is going to throw about $400m at judge after the Mets got bounced in the first round.
-
You know this is the time of the year that brings out the worst in some fans.
Instead of celebrating their team's success they spend more time throwing insults at other teams, basically rubbing the noses of that teams fanbase in the failures of that team, essentially kicking the fanbase when they are already down. That to me is a cheap shot.
And since I am a fan of a team that failed miserably in the playoffs I will shout out PAinPA who, when the Phillies won, celebrated their win without antagonizing us Cardinal fans in the process. I really did appreciate that.

There’s truth to this.
I’ve been hearing from lots of disappointed Jays fans that are just ripping into their manager’s decisions instead of recognizing their team’s deficiencies.
It hurts when a better team beats your favourite team, but imo we should try to be fans of baseball in general, and not just our home squad.
Example: Jays fans booing Robbie Ray as he was introduced. I mean the guy won a Cy Young for you and you boo him when he comes back?
Sorry, this turned into a rant about Blue Jays fans. Whoopsies!

Fans are crazy. Look how many Mets fans have already turned on DeGrom. I want the guy to play out his whole career in a Mets uniform myself, it’s not my money.

I agree with you completely, personally this is my favorite time of year and one of those reasons is because i think it's the best baseball and these playoffs are shapping up to be crazy.
With that said the the Mariners fan base is not innocent either as they also cheered when Bichette and Springer were hurt out in the outfield yesterday. There are bad fans in every fan base, i still remember the Bruins fans chearing when Canucks players got hurt in the the 2011 Stanley Cup and vice versa.
As someone today said earlier in a post this is the time of year that the worst starts coming out of people. We just have to rise above it ourselves.

If you check the pits of the internet (twitter) you will see many supposed Cardinal "fans" dumping all over Goldschmidt and Arenado. I just need to remind myself that they are idiots.

Dont praise me just yet, i was on here kicking the mets after they lost.i am a good sport to all other teams, but the phils and mets and their fans enjoy a special kind of dislike for one another(kinda like boston and the yankees)
Edit: by the way i wasnt just being gracious to the cards, i meant every word. -

Good points.
I think probably M’s fans were cheering because their team had just tied the game.
That said, has anyone heard how Springer is doing? It seemed like he was out cold there for a few moments and he looked pretty dazed leaving on the cart.

I read he was doing ok, and resting. Terrible thing to watch. He's had concussions in the past so it is worrisome.

Nope. Nothing ironic about these posts...
The Phillies made it to the next round. That's great. We're all happy for you. You can relax now.

For as deep as the mets phils hatred runs, i can proudly say that when a mets player got badly hurt at CBP the players and fans showed concern and respect to the mets.
cant remember who but it was in the last few years. -

I'm disgusted by a lot of what I've been seeing on Twitter by these supposed "fans". Arenado has an opt out on his contract and I just hope that this garbage doesn't change his mind about St Louis. They are a small minority and don't speak for the true fans.

For this guys sake I hope the Phillies don’t get swept or this post will age like spoiled milk. Maybe it’s always been like this but it seems like this year everyone is more obsessed with trolling other fan bases then enjoying their own teams run.

Hang in there, man.
As a Phillies fan, I'm used to being on the receiving end.
The fact that there is so much "hatred" between both teams' fanbase is what makes the rivalry fun.
I don't "hate" the Mets-- I love the rivalry.
Big fan of DeGrom, Lindor, McNeil, Alonso.
When the Mets or Phillies stink (which is often), it loses some spark.
When both teams are good? One of the coolest rivalries in sports.
Mets will be back... And the Phillies will be waiting...
Peace, my friend.
Keep the faith. -

It's not trolling, Sally.
It's part of the fun-- good natured ribbing.
Trolling is when you get personal.
Busting each other is just that-- busting.
I can take it all day.
And if the Phillies lose next round, I'll be upset for approx 3 minutes. Still gotta go to work the next day.(I know you're name isn't Sally. I'm having some fun with you.)

Feel free to call it what you want, there is trolling and then there is good old fashioned trash talk. You sir from the history of your posts seem to be a troll. If that’s what you want to do feel free but it makes you look like a tool instead of a fan who loves a rivalry.

Dump on the Mets all you want.
Here's the thing: Some of us can take it.They deserve all the shade.
You can't buy clutch. You can't buy heart.
You also can't give up.
What are we supposed to do. Switch teams? Put on my Indians gear? That's right, I said Indians. Anthrax has a great song with that title!
If we beat the Padres, we'd get smoked by the Dodgers anyway because we can't score. If the Padres beat the Dodgers then we lost to a team that wanted it more, seemingly. Luckily I like the Padres, or this would be even worse.
The Mets never recovered from the Braves haymaker.
All we can do is lick out wounds and try again next year.
I don't hate the Phillies. I played for their farm club in RTTS, lol and have a close friend on Twitter that's a Philadelphia sports fan. I DO hate the Braves, but less and less because it's turned into respek for them and how they structured their organization.
