Take your l and learn to hit….. if you hav to bunt with Pujols or Ortiz or whoever to get runs, you need to take a hike… I’m sick of these toxic players. Ban them or make them play each other, I just played th emits toxic jerkoff I’ve ever played … I won’t name him but I want to… straight trash

If my opponent bunts with Pujols or Ortiz, I will thank them for the free out

Better watch out. Statements like this can get you flammed by the 'Forum Police' because they're either
- Not toxic plays as they're part of the game
- Made up because you would never play toxic players more than sim players.
or
- Both 1 & 2.
-
Those are the chances you take when you play random people online. They'll never ban people for overusing R2 because that would be admitting that the feature is poorly implemented. They won't ban people for bunting with power hitters if that is what they want to do. These players are not breaking any rules by not following their opponents unwritten rules about bunting with power hitters.
People who play online want to beat their opponent. Some are good and honorable opponents and want to have a good game. Others just want to win at any cost. It is not unique behavior to this game.
-
If you don't want Pujols or Ortiz to bunt with a man on third, don't play your infield back. That's not a player being toxic. That's a player exploiting your defense.
-
I guess if it’s extra innings of a BR game or something, I can accept that. I’d generally have corners in at least, in that situation.
With Ortiz or Pujols, I’d be looking to hit something to the outfield for a sac fly, but yeah, there are definitely guys that will do this.

absolutely mate - some ppl don't get it - and this is coming from a guy here who never bunts ever - i am being objective -- ppl like to whine about anything on this forum
-
If they can’t hit because they have to bunt in runs with Ortiz and Pujols but you lost(I’m assuming, these posts don’t usually come after wins) then what does that say about you?
-
To be fair, (“To Be Fairrrrrr”), the game does kinda favour the cheeser in these situations sometimes.
You can do everything right, but ultimately, if a guy is committed to playing that way, sometimes it will work for them. If it were not like that, nobody would take extra steps off first, or hold r2 or whatever.

Ask yourself who can control this? Not you. Only Sds. Ask yourself how long has this been a thing?
SDS Is not dumb. Your playing in an environment that is 100% controlled by them. They can program a pack of velociraptors running through the outfield with yeezy's on everytime a person steals a base if they want. (Doubt they would get the rights from Ye) .They didn't because it sounds ridiculous.
These actions everyone complains about are not...listen closely...important to Sds..OR working as intended. Sds has been speaking to their player base all year. Remember Super Mario dives??? There still in the game right??

I hold R2 all day if my opponent is quick pitching like a spaz. If someone is doing this to you start pacing your pitches. If your opponent continues to hold the problem is on him.

It says that hitting is working as intended. It says that OP enjoys playing a game that is not realistic. When a game allows players to drop bunt hits with a player who just got into the 700 HOMERUN club. It makes no sense. You sound like someone who was a fan of "The Force Awakens"
-
Maybe I’m alone on this, but, I don’t care about my ranked record, for BR I’m always grinding the program, not going for 12-0, and Events? Who cares about wins or losses really?
I just quit if someone is super toxic, I don’t care enough to put up with it anymore. Let ‘em have that win that moves them up the ranks to inevitably get smoked by someone.
Just move on with your day and don’t waste time or energy on these people. You’re more likely to match up with someone who, like yourself, just wants a good game.

Ah yes because banning bunts would be much more realistic than someone choosing to bunt because you have your defense back and they need a run.
Does bunt defense need work? Absolutely
Is it kind of a douche move? Depending on the situation definitelyHowever nothing you’ve said is cheating or unrealistic. Also that’s a pretty random reach for the “Force Awakens” there. Since we are on the topic tho you sound like you think Gina Carano is a good actress.

Just quit if you don’t like what your opponent is doing. I do! I mean, SDS has this game so f’d up, what does a loss really mean anyway?? I started a game last night against a guy who consistently pressed R2 at the same moment each batter. He would then step out. He would then call time. He would then hit pause. Dude wasn’t that good. It was clear he was doing all of this to F with my pitcher mechanism timing. So I quit and I was winning 1-0.
I play this game to enjoy myself and relax….not to put up with this silly nonsense. -

To be fair, hitters like Pujols and Ortiz shouldn't be able to lay down good bunts. As soon as you get in online play, however, everyone seems to be able to lay down perfect bunts with any hitter.

I've yet to understand this argument. First, you can't quick pitch in a video game. 2nd, it's a video game. How much time do you need between pitches? If the game allows a pitch to be thrown, why aren't you ready for it?
Hitting R2 every so often to see the pitch arsenal or to see where a pitch was just thrown is one thing. Holding it every time your opponent goes to pitch is just douchey and it borders on attempting to mess up the process of the opponent making the pitch because holding the button causes the pitch to not lock in.
Also, I still don't get the people that pause the game after batter or every couple of pitches. Just play the game. You're most likely going to beat me anyway (I'm not very good online), there's no need for shenanigans.

Part of baseball is disrupting timing. If your timing is repetitive I intend to disrupt it.

Huh? It's a video game. We're not really doing any of this (pitching, batting). There's not timing to disrupt. If you're holding a button to try and mess with the game's process of choosing, locating and throwing a pitch, that's just messed up.
