It’s about that time, so I’d like to throw the hat into the ring:
MLB The Joe 2023:

Only if his throws are caught by the opposing team.

It’ll be Judge right?

Julio Rodriguez. With some sort of Jr spin. The All Star game is in Seattle, I just have a feeling it will be JRod, especially if they have a great run in the other playoffs

He was on 18's cover! We don't want to jinx 23 by placing him on the cover!!!

MLB the J-Rod Show 23 sounds great to me!
-
Who will have the better career Michael Harris II or J-Rod? Think it’s interesting question because Harris has been arguably better, but doesn’t get as much attention.

Honestly, I think they should break with tradition, immediately get rights for Pujols and make him the cover, especially if he makes it to 700. The fact that neither he nor Trout has ever graced the cover is strange to me.
-
It's long overdue to get the rights to as many Negro Leagues players as possible. Put all of them on the cover -- Josh Gibson, Oscar Charleston, Buck Leonard, Cool Papa Bell, Bullet Rogan, Turkey Stearns. Let's get everybody!

Not sure but I believe Trout has an exclusive cover deal with the 9 innings mobile game. Pujols hasn't been good in like 8+ years

Wow a Bullet Rogan mention! The original Ohtani

Yes! I can see a series of Moments where you have to hit a HR with Rogan off Ohtani, then strike out Ohtani with Rogan... in the next game, you have to do the inverse.
Let's make this happen!

Maybe not but he was great the first 4 or 5 years that MLB the Show was available with 3 MVP awards and 2 second place finishes.

Good point, I agree. I think the Pedroia year easily could've gone to Albert, and Mauer's 2nd cover in 2011 as well.

I cast my vote for Kenny powers.

It will be Jazz Chiousm why do you think he was there earlier in the year, just because? Baseballs and jerseys wasn't the only thing he put his signature on

That would be a travesty. Giving the cover to a guy who only played 60 games this year when there are other worthy candidates and existing superstars who have never been on the cover.
We know that they love them some large markets, the Dodgers and in particular Mookie.
I'd love to see Goldschmidt or Arenado but I would not hold my breath. Maybe if they shock everybody (including me) and win it all and one of those two is postseason MVP. Maybe.

Derek Jeter. I am just here to drum up the chatter
