Best Pinch hitter to keep on bench
-
91 Cavan Biggio always seems to come through for me
-
Matt Carpenter is pretty dang good.
-
The new rod carew
125 clutch
-
96 Mauer, ASG Gimenez.
I have both in 2 different lineups fwiw. -
I’ll name a few that come to mind.
Castellanos
HRD Corey Seager
Matt Carpenter
Nick Swisher
Al Kaline
Ralph Kriner -
Carpenter
Polanco
I’ve used that Topps Now Jake McCarthy in BR I haven’t gotten him yet he seems really solid and 98 speed -
For me it’s having two players that rake righties two against lefties one pinch hitter and make sure it’s swings you’re good with
-
I think the new Rod Carew is a good answer. Vidal Brujan for being a switch bitter, the speed and playing every position almost.
-
Brad Miller for most of the year, dude just clutches but Matt Carpenter hands down now.
-
Can I say George Brett? If I start him I struggle. With Riley at 3rd and Frank at 1st he is perfect to pinch hit for either of those guys or the pitcher. With Chipper in the mix and adding Lou I might have Lou start with Brett and Frank as my pinch hitters. As others have said MA Carpenter is also clutch. I also had good luck with HRD Joram as a switch hitting pinch hitter who can play tons of spots.
-
I forgot to mention All Star Stanton…he’s awesome as a pinch hitter. Plus he’s way too slow for the outfield.

Albert Pujols HRD card is a beast. He has Pinch Hitter Perk Also.
-
Awards Bellinger, FS Cruz, and MA Carpenter are my current dong slappers vs RHP. Awards Kaline and LS Judge are slingin wang from the right side.
Belli hits LHP well, too, and he’s got good D, positional flexibility, and speed, so he’s often in the starting lineup. The others are all lacking in one tool or another (usually speed) so they’re bench bros. Cruz used to be a starter, but he can’t hold a candle to Robin Yount.
(And it’s probably best that he doesn’t hold a candle to him. Robin has a face built for pitch black darkness.)

My options Arenado. Marcus Semien, Pujols, Juan Soto and Brandon Lowe.
My best option is to go left vs right or right vs left.
-
This is easy for me:
Nelson Cruz for lefties.
Yordan for righties. -
Kaline, Gimenez, and Vidal Brujan do well for me. Brujan can also double as PR.

Us thus the 2nd half Nellie Cruz. Do you think we'll get a higher option this year? I would love a cool Retro Finest of his.
If it's masters you want, these are great options. Eugenio Suarez is also a beast, can't wait for a higher card of his.
For speed and position flexibility it's Brujan and Elly de la Cruz for me.
-
Elly de la Cruz is an absolute beast for me. I have him at 2nd and he rakes every at bat

I love the Elly card and I haven't used the Brujan in awhile but that was another great card to give some position flexibility on the bench along with being a switch hitter. It is the 2nd half Nellie and if it wasn't for his fielding I would have him starting still.
