SDS has teams they like, and teams they don't. You can tell by looking at anything they can and do avoid doing
You could argue that Sandy is the best Pitcher in Baseball it's ridicolous that he is not a diamond. I thought that even 85 this update would be unfair but no upgrade at all is a crime

Aaron Nola and Corbin Burnes became 2/3 of all pitchers to have 10 consecutive strikeouts, and they gave neither a Topps now card. There are privileged teams, and there are poverty teams. Marlins continue to fall under the poverty category, even though they pretend to love Jazz

I think Sandy and Turner Spit roasted the rating guys girlfriend. The only explanation really

Schwarber has been on fire for the month of june, and I don't think his ovr has moved an inch lmao

I have been trying to tell people all the time. SDS has no formula for pitchers that take into account pitchers who are effective without getting a ton of strikeouts. Alcantara's 8.2 strikeout per 9 rating only equates to a 60 k/9 in game.
He deserves to be a diamond but their formula that favors k/9 above all else is preventing it.
-
Its 100% BS that he did not go diamond
-
Luckily I only bought 2 Sandy's not much of a loss.
My Mets face him tonight and I was saying with Jake out, he's the best in the NL, at least. -

I'm still not over us trading Sandy and Gallen for that overrated [censored] Ozuna, 2 aces for a rental. I didnt know Gallen would be as good, but I called Sandy. Maybe not Cy Young calliber but I knew he would be a great one

Max fried didn't go diamond either.
-
Just baffling.... Alcontaras wow
-
Now I see why.
My Mets smacked him up 2nite -
Yet byron Buxton who is hitting g .227 on the year got a plus 4 boost to a 91? Dude is a stud defensively but you shouldn't be a 90 plus hitting 25 points above the Mendoza line.

The guy has a 150 ops+, is hitting for insane power and has diamond defense, that is what makes him a 90+. He's 50% better then the average hitter, though I doubt we have similar views on that since you are using average.

Facts. White Sox have had one card drop since release (aside from the cards that come out for every team like future stars and flashbacks for FOTF). I know the white Sox as a team have been bad, but they’ve had a ton of great performances throughout the year, and have yet to even have a supercharged player. It’s terrible.
-
Their formula is how many times did they show up on MLB Tonight and RoFlo mentions. Pitchers only get talked about every 5 days, so it takes 3months for them to be recognized. My guess is we get a POM card in place of a live series upgrade like Detmers.
-
I’ve said it before, SDS does whatever they want regardless of real stats. The ONLY thing that will stop this is if the rumored EA baseball game coming out turns out to be really good. I would quit this game in a heartbeat if EA’s game is better. Alcantara could turn out to be the Messiah and he’d Probly get down graded to bronze.
-
He got boosted 5 points last update. They’ll increase him next update, assuming he keeps performing.
I realize that these extreme takes and conspiracy theories are the norm online, but you don’t have to conform to it like sheep.
-
Us sheep must not notice that Mikolas has been pitching lights out but he only gets downgraded, then again it only took 3/4 of a season for Freddy Peralta to finally get love last year. Oh and Yordan was producing consistent numbers then was downgraded for no reason, they then course corrected the following update, and guess who’s a 90 after having his numbers broadcast this week. But hey we’re just following the herd.

Mikolas was upgraded from a 78 to an 81 this last update. He has been touched in 5 different roster updates so far. 4 out of those 5 updates have been upgrades. He has gone from a 76 to an 81 this season so far.
I still think their pitcher ratings are too narrowly focused on K/9. So as long as Mikolas is only striking out 7 per 9 and his in game K/9 rating is a 48 I doubt he will go up much more.
