The market is pretty tanked as is but this might bring it down a bit further before I suspect a Labor Day stub sale will set things on fire for a bit.
Well good thing we have a few months to prepare for the Labor Day Sale fire!
I like to plan ahead!!! lol

Al Lester last year was really good. We will see how he is being the base round this time.

Much better than a Mo Lester card

So according to Merriam Webster the word prime means- first in rank, authority, or significance :
b: having the highest quality or valueHaven't Leiter's cards been in the upper 90s before? His Prime is an overall 90??? I'd give more stubs for an SDS detailed explanation of their ratings system/justification than I would for Mike Trout, Derek Jeter, and Barry Bonds combined!
I think they've explained this on stream before. Cards with specific years (Rookie, Vet, AS, awards) are based on those years. Sig cards are typically a summation based on the entire career where Prime takes the few years in the middle of their career where they were at their highest. Milestones are obviously based on specific instances (no hitters will have high h/9s, milestone strikeouts will be high k/9, career hr milestones will have juiced power, etc)
This is of course a rough re-iteration based on a fairly poor memory so I may be off but that I believe is generally how it goes.
I get that and appreciate the review but as posted above Prime signifies the best based on the simple definition of the word. Prime 90 AL is clearly not the best when we've had higher versions of him.

That 2nd half chapman might be actually gross.
.309/.591/.961 with 14 hrs and 25 doubles with his usual diamond defense/arm.
He should be but I feel like they’ll screw his hitting somehow
Yeah, I don't think they can squeeze in much hitting with Matt's defense and keep the card to a 90 ovr. Just guessing.
Con R 70
Pow R 75
Con L 92
Pow L 86.309 should be better than 70 contact. I would think more like 90 but who knows.

I think it auto-corrected him again right in the middle of explaining said auto-correction.

He hit for better average vs lefties than righties, but way more power vs righties. So his card will be ok. High contact vs lefties with lower power and higher power vs righties with lower contact. Unless sds just makes stuff up.

Thought it meant he was only divisible by himself and 1.

And that goes double!!

It’s not a review, it’s literally the tier system for the game. He just told you why it’s the way it is, even politely disregarding your need for Webster’s dictionary to be correct about a certain video games tier system. Your best three years (prime) CANT be better than a No hitter card (awards) unless you pitched three years without giving up a hit in which case you would earn a (signature series) better than any of the three.
Prime is the WORST version they can give to juice up a card dispute what Webster’s dictionary has you convinced of. Then Awards, then SS at the top, example 99 Randy Johnson

Right on bro. SDS has indeed been known to make stuff up.
