I found their support email - theshow@playstation.sony.com - for future reference if anyone needs it.
Check that, just got a response email, apparently that support email no longer works, instead you need to go this web address.
https://theshow.gg/support. which leads to a broken page.
So, I have to ask again, is there an email for theshow customer support?
At the top right of the page is link for support. Click on that and choose the version of the game you are playing, Choose report an issue and make sure that Account Issue is chosen from the drop down.
Thank you, I'm trying this, however, when I hit the submit button I get the following error.
Access to theshow.sonysandiegostudio.games was denied
You don't have authorization to view this page.
HTTP ERROR 403Most likely have to wait until ban is over
Ok, I switched over to the MS Edge browser and it worked.
Apparently it doesn't work in my Chrome browser.I'll update this thread if I hear back from them.
Thank you for your help and advice!

Be glad it was a ban for cheating and not something like putting in too many buy or sell orders. Cheating, small ban, messing with their money? Multiple years
But why the ban? Because I didn't close the game when it froze?

No idea man I don't know the circumstances a lot of stuff could have led to it, game history, has it happened in the past, I don't know what the other person might have said who knows
-
Well, my game history speaks for itself, win some lose some, it's never happened in the past, and I have no idea what the person could say negatively about my play in the game. I was winning 1-0 when it froze, I have no idea, that's why I need SDS to provide me with their reasoning.
What happens the next time I'm winning a game and it freezes, should I just quit out?
-
Update:
I received the below email from support, they don't state specifically what I did to be banned.
I replied back to please let me know the exact thing I did so I know not to do it again.
The only thing I can think of is that when the game froze, I didn't quit out, I left my PlayStation on and went to bed.
When I got up the next morning I logged into my account and saw the ban.-------------------------email from support------------------------

I've been banned for the following:
Banned for Cheating, abuse of the game's points system, etc. Remaining Time 0 days 13:42:6 5/14/2022 8:08AM EDTLast night, while playing a battle royale game, it froze, I was winning 1-0.
I turned off my monitor and later went to bed.
When I awoke this morning I got the message notifying me I was banned.
I'm trying to contact support, but the support page on both the theshow.com and SDS's main page don't work.
Does anyone have the contact email for customer support?
I want to know why I was banned, I want to play BR today and events, and I can't for 13hrs, this is preposterous.
If you went to bed and left your game on "frozen" then you got what you diserved.
If it freezes, take the L by closing out your game and reloading it. The other player probably reported you and since you said you left it on over night it seems justified. Winning a game in a freeze isn't worth the ban. I hope you can remember that.
Anytime a game I play freezes I always close it out and reboot. Games tend to do that and luckily I saved it recently and didn't lose much progress.
In MLB the Show, the game auto saves. -

The Show SupportLooking through your history you have a lot of 0-0 wins. They are spread out but I would guess about 10-15 wins on 0-0 games in the last month.
I know the game has some major issues but just how many wins on 0-0 games is enough for SDS to notice it? How many does it take to go beyond what is the reasonable expectation of normal gameplay freezes?

In MLB the Show, the game auto saves. If waiting out a frozen game is considered cheating, this is news to me. I've watched plenty of streamers who have also left their game on until the next day to wait out a frozen game. Also, I was winning the game in question, 1-0.
With that said, one of my event games froze last night and I was winning 5-1, but instead of waiting it out, I just quit out of MLB and restarted the game, and I got the loss.

I just looked through all 26 pages of my gameplay and these are the results.
34 total 0-0 games, 17 wins and 17 losses.
My take away from this is, there are many games where I quit out after starting a game starts because life happens. There are also games that my opponent quits out because life happens on their end. It's hard to know exactly how many of these 0-0 games are as a result of a freeze off.
The game that started all of this, was a 1-0 score in my favor, and then last night an event game I was winning 5-1 froze. So we can't say that all 0-0 games are freeze offs.
But at the end of the day, I quit out of the event game that froze last night where I was winning 5-1 because I don't want another ban.
So let this be a lesson to everyone who waits out a frozen game, you may get banned for it.
I just wish SDS would make that part of the service agreement instead of vaguely reference a breech of the terms of service. Specifically state, when a game freezes you must restart the MBL application within 5 minutes or you will be banned, or something similar.

I don't know if that is a lot or not many. I don't play online.
I just wonder if they don't have a % or an amount that will trigger some sort of auto detection.
Oh, and as I looked last night, I noticed that some of the 0-0 losses looked like they were possibly quits in Mini seasons, based on consecutive 0-0 losses against the same team.
Again, I am not passing judgement because I honestly don't know what the norm is when it comes to game freezes. Just trying to toss out some possibilities.

In MLB the Show, the game auto saves.why? should the other guy who was losing get "what he deserves". Maybe if they fixed freezing and just record the current score as a completed game it wouldn't make people wait for the other to quit.
If the OP really has frozen 34 times then maybe there is more to this, maybe he is using a specific freeze method....I mean I've only had about 3, maybe they thought he was quoting out to drank and only play at certain levels.....no telling,

I don't feel like diving into his history again but as I mentioned he had more wins than losses. Some of the losses looked like they came from quits in Mini Seasons (consecutive losses against the same team) so I doubt it was tanking.
If they wanted to go after a tanker they would have banned others on the forum who have admitted proudly that they tank.
-
As a rule I always quit a freeze if I am losing. However I do not play battle royale or events often and never have anything other than my mediocre win-loss record at stake in RS. I also never try to throw the ball to my 2nd basemen if I can avoid it since that seems to be the majority of what causes my freezes. If a ball is hit to right field I either throw to first or third and never to the cut off.

I haven't played rank yet this year, I also posted an account, further up in this post, of my 34 games that resulted in 0-0 games, stating how they are not all freezes.
I can remember maybe 4 games that froze this year, and the two most recent, were games that I was winning 1-0 and 5-1. The 1-0 game is the one that resulted in me being banned, it was a BR game.

Yes, that's correct, in the last mini seasons I played, I quit out of the like the last 3 or 4 games because I already wrapped up first place.
Regarding tanking, I haven't played rank yet this year so there's no reason for me to tank, besides I was banned after a frozen game that I was winning 1-0.
Also, I did look at all of my pages of game history, and I recorded 34 total 0-0 games, with 17 wins and 17 losses. But as I mentioned, my last two frozen games had me winning both of them 1-0 and 5-1, so we can't assume all 0-0 games are freezes. Also, yes I did quit out of some 0-0 games due to life happening, as did my opponents quit out of 0-0 games for one reason or another.
