Pitcher should never be a collection reward. Sorry for the essay in advance

I have had collections done for over a month and only have Randy P3.. I don’t use him in conquest bc I don’t wanna face the best pitcher on each team, I don’t grind offline for him bc I work. Only time I play with him is when I play RS. The last 3 outings for Randy are, (Outing 1) 1 inning pitched struck out side in 11 pitches (opponent quit). Used all of energy have to wait 3 games to use. (Outing2) 1 inning pitched 14 pitches thrown, I hit get 3 outs, Top of 2nd opponent quits after 1 pitch thrown, loses energy can’t use for 4 games. Bottom 1 I throw 7 pitches in first inning, I hit get 1 run, bottom second strike out batter he quits, loses energy. I literally used the collection reward 3 times and only threw 37 pitches in the last 17 games played. Luckily I pulled trout and acuna day 1 and 2 but I literally grinding so hard to get the collection completed. I hate how people send friendlies or straight up quit when they see Randy or see that I have collections completed. What makes things even worse is that SDS programmed this game to allow the lower tier team to stay in the game with the better team by giving them flukes, better exit velo, pitcher accuracy, and more. Sorry for this long rant but I had to get this out my system.

I get your frustratiin look at t like this you are getting free wins. I don't mind a pitcher being a big reward if they are dominate. Randy is that dominate. The collection reward last year with Kershaw was not dominant, although Mo was solid The other advantage of it being a dominant pitcher is he should not leave your rotation all year. So the reward has more longevity. I like Frank and Clemente but they are both going to get passed up really soon. Randy is at a depth position so I don't see 5 guys ever being better than him.

Just use him in conquest games man lol. There are no LS pitchers especially used by the computer that are tough to face. In fact I usually like to face the ace on most teams because I know who I am facing and are familiar with their release and pitches. Much easier to hit. Its those wonky 4 and 5 starters that have FB's that max out at like 92 and can rarely hit the strike zone that screw me up. I would much rather face a Gerrit Cole or JV, deGrom someone that I know is a righty and I can sit on their FB and tee off.

He doesn't want to mindlessly play the computer and I totally get that. I disagree with him as far as randy being the reward. He is the best pitcher this game has ever seen by far. It's almost an automatic win when he is ready to go. I just pitched a perfect game on HoF yesterday in RS. I already have him P5 but if I didn't that would be like 1500 pxp. Pitchers are way faster to p5 than position players so I really don't agree with him on that either. If you only get to play 1 game a day then yes I could see how it's frustrating but I think he is a great live series collection reward. I wouldn't even be in a rush to complete the collection of frank or Clemente were the overall. And yes, playing offline is a chore. It's horribly boring and non competitive. I guess it's cool if you want to watch a movie and just do offline in the background but besides that it's torture.

Randy ranks as my 3rd pitcher in conquest. Mussina and shohei both go above him in my lineup at 99 so I get him as 3rd

Oh no I get that. He just mentioned about how he doesnt want to use him in conquest when he plays because he doesnt want to face the other teams number 1. And yes I agree. RJ is perfectly fine for a LS collection reward.

You’re a Pus$yCat if the reason you’re not using him in conquest is because you can’t hit the opponents ace? Lame.
I actually like that they went with randy as the MLB reward. We already have enough hitters to fill 3 lineups, but I’m ALWAYS searching for pitching. You’re right, they should tweak the stamina.
When randy is eligible for an event - watch out! Ppl gonna be restarting their event runs every time to use randy over and over < that’s where his value will come in big time.

If you're worried about the pitcher you face in conquest you're not worthy of Randy.

For the CPU matchup, most of the responses have this accurate. You have entire LS collection done, best cards in the game, and in conquest you can’t take on the #1 pitcher for 1 inning? Obviously v CPU full 9 that changes, it still not a real reason to not use Randy. I’d use him every chance I had; I’m down to 5 diamonds (ohtani, acuna, burnes, hader, arenado) and once that’s done no CPU team will be safe!

I’m 67-4 in RS and my rating is 1778 rn.. Currently on an 29 game win streak.. let me do me, f you gotta call me a pu$$y for? I have my reasoning.. all of y’all are caught up on me saying the thing about conquest but NONE OF YALL ARE GETTING MY POINT.. I didn’t say Randy was trash or anything I just was trying to make a point that a collection shouldn’t be useable every 1 out of 5 games to start the year. you really want to grind for and sometime even pay for a card to only use 1 out if 5 games.. that’s the point I’m making. It has nothing to do with how good Randy is bc he is the best, I know when I use him it’s an easy win. I’m talking about what about the other games 4 games, can’t use reward. Have him as AL reward and an every day play for the full collection. I didn’t put time and effort in this game to a reward to only pitch 37 pitches 3 inning in total out of 20 games (180 inning). I know I said 17 earlier but that wasn’t including the games Randy pitched, I should’ve said 20 earlier. But still I just think it’s not smart for full collection. Just don’t have the starting out reward be useable 1 every 5 games. -
