All I’m saying is thank God they don’t give everybody who hits their first home run a Topps Now. It would be miserable having 3 “hit 1 homerun with this guy who had 32 power “ Moments each week

I don't disagree but I think there should be some consistency. It's not just about not getting a Moment but also about a guy who was a good hitter in AAA getting a card with awful contact and power and then not getting an upgrade after a very good start.

One or the other I could see but having neither happen kind of hurts as a Cardinal fan whos only goal is to collect Cardinal players.

Yes, because Cardinals fans never get good cards historically lol

Did I complain that they didn't? It is not the point.

So, Juan Yepez should be ignored because SDS has been generous with Cardinals Cards over the years?

No man, I'm just teasing. I'm a Brewers fan, so you won't get my sympathy 😉 unless you earn it THE RIGHT WAY!

I actually don't think the 8th falls within the range. It should be next week

Acually Moran's card is from the 8th. Yepez didn't get an IRL Topps now card so can't blame SDS on this one

No Topps Now card for his first HR (happened on the 8th so I think it falls within the range) like so many other rookies seem to get.

Not even a minor upgrade for a 59 rated player who is batting .400, slugging 700 and has a 1.155 OPS? Let's just leave his contact and power in the 40-50 range and leave him at a 59. By the way this a guy who hit .287 with a .603 slug in AAA so it is obvious he is better than a 43 vs R and 49 vs L hitter

This is where I have issues with SDS. If this had been a higher profile player they would not ignored them. Seiya Suzuki got a Topps Now 87 diamond for his first HR. I believe he was also added as a Silver 75.

And before anybody accuses me of being upset because I invested in him, I did not..

With all due respect, the guy was ok in the minors and more than likely won't do well in the majors once the teams figure out his weakness. Maybe if he cuts down on his strikeouts, he'll have a chance. Then again, if Gallo & Zunino can stay in the league, maybe Yepez can as well.

You could be right of course, but that is the possibility with every rookie called up. His strikeouts are not that out of line though. At every level he has struck out less than 25% of the time. Tatis won ROY striking out 33% of the time. Tyler O'Neil strikes out 33% of the time.

But he is mainly going to DH with maybe a spot start in RF. He is a Primary 1B and Goldschmidt and Pujols will probably take most of those reps.

In the end it's not that big a deal. If he continues to hit well he will get upgraded. I just kind of expected the first upgrade to be today. Even with limited at bats I though he was worthy

I don’t think SDS upgrades call ups/rookies that quickly. Especially with only 30 ABs. I didn’t look at the first upgrades, but I don’t think Witt Jr. even had a change. Even though he didn't perform well in the first month.

SDS picks and chooses its spots. And they seem to dislike certain teams every year.
