I think I'm the only person who wants to use that Dawson card. I have LS Acuna in CF now, and he has hit well online (I'm only in AS so not a great feat) but when I unlock Dawson I'm putting him in CF. I missed him last year, I don't know why but I always love his cards.
Dude acuna is 10 times the card Dawson is in every aspect including the live series quirks. Acuna is a top 10 card and too 3 outfielder in my opinion. I played a handful of events with Dawson. That card just hits whiffle balls and when I do get a PP it semmes like it's a low liner or screaming grounder. No moon shots. But that's just me.
I hit .909 with Dawson in the event in 12 at bats and I will not use his card, I feel like every hit I got was the game blessing me for being late. I didn’t like his swing

This right here. I have a lineup created named "favs". It's guys that I either was or am a fan of and enjoy using. Might not be my best possible lineup but it's a ton of fun.
It’s a shame Carter is from collections this year; might not get him for a while. Big, big BIG Expos fan right here. Can’t wait to unlock the Hawk.
Carter has been one of my most frustrating players this year. His stats are amazing he just can't hit a linedrive. The homeruns I've hit with him are towering shots but often times they are caught with the OF having his back on the wall. Perfect linedrives are not higher that the infielders so they get magically caught for outs. He doesn't strike out much but when he fouls it off it is often caught for an out. I loved Carter as a kid, but I've had to seek out others to play catcher in DD.

Wouldn't being a "Cubs fan" warrant you trying Dawson as well? I mean his best years were arguably as a Cub... js

I am using them both in the event. Dawson has a BA of like .315 but most of his hits are soft contact hits. I don't think he would be worth a dump on HoF. Rizzo is a better card I think. Wish his contact was closer to 95 instead of 85

Which first basemen, or even secondary first basemen, are CLEARLY better than Rizzo, besides Frank? You should be able to name a lot considering Rizzo is "extremely" disappointing...

Which first basemen, or even secondary first basemen, are CLEARLY better than Rizzo, besides Frank? You should be able to name a lot considering Rizzo is "extremely" disappointing...
If your pci placement is consistently good, FOFT Bellinger is better. Rizzo is homerun or single. Bellinger has better defense, reaction and better speed

If your pci is consistently good you'll have better results with Rizzo considering he has better contact and power to both sides...

You are right. Acuna is my best hitter online, I guess it would be pretty dumb to bench him. I did unlock Dawson, I think I will platoon Dawson and Gibson in RF for now.

He's too slow. 21 speed is awful. It ruins the card worse than the low contact.

JRam is not clear, 20 less power both sides. Vlad has awful contact vs RHP and less power to both sides. Adley has considerably less power to both sides and worse vision. Boggs has no power at all. Ward has very low power vs LHP and he bats right that's a straight up no go. France again no power. Bell essentially same contact, less power.
Not saying any of those cards are bad. They're all way faster, Adley/Bell/Jram switch hit. But they are not CLEARLY better. Rizzo is a very good power hitter at this stage in the game.
Thomas, Pujols, and Rizzo are the only 80 contact/100 power to both sides cards in the game right now.

It's funny how you are quoting me on things I never said. I never said there were a lot of first baseman that were CLEARLY better than rizzo. But I just named a handful that I believe are better than him and more versatile. You disagree with me. I also have Frank Thomas who is most definitely better than Rizzo but you conceded that fact. All I said in my original post was that Rizzo is underwhelming and he does not make my squad. I then asked which card is worse in Rizzo or Dawson. You then went on a rant about which cards were better and which were not in your opinion. That's not what this post was about. The only reason I'm even trying him is because I'm a Cubs fan otherwise the card would collect dust because in my opinion it is buns. And yes it is an undisputed fact that live series j-ram is better than this Rizzo card. You're also saying things that are false because jayram and Vlad have inside edge almost every day that boosts their stats and vlads power is usually above 100 versus righties almost daily. The fact that Rizzo is beyond slow and doesn't play any other positions leaves him underwhelming. He will rake an All-Star but I think he will fail and Hall of Fame and legend in my opinion
