As SP moved to CP. Will they put me back?
-
Hi, first time playing RTTS. I created SP. After 5 games coach wanted to put me to CP position. I agreed. How long will I have to stay there? Played about 6 games as CP. Will they move me back any time soon? I dont want to be CP
-
But this is same for every position that after couple of games coach asks you to change position for a while, isnt it?
-
Yeah they’ll move you back. Same thing seems to happen to everyone with a SP. Happened to me too, although I was actually performing eons better as a closer and wished they had kept me there!
-
And how long have you been Closer till they moved you back? I want to become good hitter as well like Ohtani and being Closer I dont really get very much batting opportunities (model like zero)
-
I chose the dialog option that I was comfortable in my current role and they did not force me into the bullpen. Let's hope that they don't.
Forced position changes are a crock. Nobody chooses a position when creating a character only to be asked to change and couple hours into their RTTS career.

I've had SPs become CPs and changed back to SP.I've had SPs become CP's and not get changed back.I've had CP's become SPs and not get changed back.As Bob Dole said"It Depends".
Actually I read an excellent post somewhere that explained how it all works. If the post was true this game has a much deeper level of complexity than we think.
Or just like the relief pitcher dropping his glove the devs do it to tick everyone off and so they can laugh at us. -
Ok, I will restart and try to say that I dont want change and see what will happen
-
No, don't do that.
When you're in AA, your coach will automatically tell you they're moving your position for a while. You HAVE to do it. If you tell him you don't want you, you will get benched.
Unless your character was performing very badly in your original role, they will move you back eventually.
I don't know why some people in this thread told otherwise. Maybe they're just trolling the new guy.

My position change came during the offseason from SP to RP. Worse yet, once spring training was over, I no longer had side training sessions either and I remained in the bullpen. When I reloaded the save from before the offseason, I noticed that I got offered a contract to remain in the rotation, so I just accepted that one and then stayed in the rotation.

I definitely was not "trolling the new guy".What I said happened happened and the characters were not performing all that badly.
But I wouldn't recommend a restart either.Too early. -
