Rizzo Idea

SDS has obviously seen the backlash to the card, would you be against them raising his attributes to make him a 94-95 overall? It’s a slippery slope tho if they did do something like that.
-
Nah its fine. People love to complain. It doesn’t matter who the player is or his attributes. People will find a reason to be unhappy
-
The ironic thing about rizzo is that his hitting attributes are pretty similar to Buxton last year. Buxton was just a Max fielding and speed cheese god. The truth is people just don't ever want 1st baseman
-
It’s not going to happen. It was a flop of a month but I’m actually glad they’re taking their time with releasing OP players for free.
-
I mean it is April, I have no issue with the low overall. His power stats play and his swing was pretty good in moments. Did both them them first try. Now should he have been the POTM that is up for debate, as I think they should stick with what MLB puts out, regardless of LS cards. I do think they are keeping OVR low to give the game a little more longevity. I may you dont want everyone 95 or 96 that gets up to a 99 easily with a couple of parallels. I think everyone was spoiled with that Buxton card last year, which was near endgame.

People would just find something else to complain about.

So do we want 99s for the last 5 months of PotM? I would hope they wait a while to start dropping 99s
-
Nah, this month is just a dud (mostly; Joc Pederson is really fun to use).
Just have to hope MLB doesn't name players of the month for May that have a high diamond card in this game.
-
Nope don't change it that would open pandoars box
-
The worst thing you can do in their situation is to try to appease the mob. God no.
Take yer smacks and learn from em. Make the next one better.
The Show this year feels VERY low effort, though. Completely recycled. Might be my last year given the time commitment the game requires...
-
Also I like the fact that they're slow-rolling ratings. Last year were were at all-99's way too soon. Now there's Trout, Pujols, and the LS bosses, but that's all really...
It's not about Rizzo being a 92. It's about Rizzo being Rizzo.

I don't understand how people don't understand the general idea that this year, SDS has significantly toned down the rate at which the quality of cards are increased. By this time last year, we had our first legend collection (99 Mariano) with a 95 Buxton as the April Monthly Award (meta card... I used it for like three months because he absolutely raked!).
I am the type of player who just goes with the flow; we have to wait three months to see our first 95 monthly award? Fine. But, what I will not do is ridicule others who feel shafted by this seemingly slow-burn approach to keeping us engaged with DD through the Summer and Fall for the same reason.
Stay classy San Diego.

Wasn't Corbin the first Monthly Award?
-
Buxton was the April POTM last year and even though he was obviously a much more well-rounded player due to his speed and fielding, I am pretty sure he was a 95 which seemed high for the first monthly program of the game cycle. I like the slower process of releasing these higher diamonds.
