What’s everyone’s overall opinion on this current Moonshot event?

Got my 30 and usually enjoy these Events but this one was far too random for my taste and very frustrating. On the other hands, I have a newfound affinity for my ace Mr Charlie Barnes

This felt like the most random experience I have had with this game in two years. I honestly couldn’t tell what was going on most of the time. I quit playing it after five wins and decided I wouldn’t touch online again until after the weekend was over. I felt like I needed a reset and I absolutely loved Moonshot last year.
My kid felt similar. He is a better player than I am and he came in my room on Saturday night and said, “Dad, what did you think of Moonshot?” I had intentionally not said anything to him, because I wanted his genuine opinion. He goes, “I don’t get it….I can’t hit at all and I can’t get anyone out. I have never had this problem. I can’t do this…I will just buy Salmon.”

Blah…was working my way to salmon yesterday and I swear I probably had 4-5 entrances where I went 0-2. And I’m not generally THAT horrible, I’m BR I’ll put together 6 win runs each season, but this was just brutal.
I managed to get to 15, will likely see what the other part(s) are before seeing if I try to get 30 wins.
I don’t know if it’s played out or just nostalgia, but I remember the first release of moonshot actually being a fun time, this was just frustrating for me.
Just random, I swear there was one game I was up 4-0 in the third where the guy had zero hits and then he proceeded to score 7 runs from 9 hits (I kept changing pitchers)….not 1 of them was a HR!! Literally single, single, then everything else became perfect shots in the gap to advance the next guy.

Same ole thing. Win a few then the cpu decides its your time to lose. I started off actually trying then I just kept forfeiting after winning my second game. Started off like 14-3 think I ended 30-13
Terrible rewards, no stubs to be made, base round everytime. Good for parallel but that's it

I got my 30 wins but I didn't have a ton of fun playing. This event really did not feel like a moonshot event and felt more like a RNG fest. A lot of good pci/timing resulted in a lot of routine flyouts. Perfect/perfects seemed to be more sharp lineouts which is confusing since these are common pitchers on the mound. Contrast that with a handful of HRS on good timing/PCI not on the ball that I got and I have to say that I'm confused.
A lot of hits I saw were bloop hits from TERRIBLE swings. Very weakly hit balls that land in front of an outfielder. Foul balls were the worst because of the common pitchers' low H/9 and K/9, but when someone is swinging very early or very late, the game does not need to bail them out on consecutive pitch #10 out of the zone.
Where is the dynamic PCI for balls out of the zone that SDS kept touting in the streams? Because it sure as hell isn't being seen in the gameplay.

I will offer that a did see the biggest shot of the year so far…..guy hit a perfect perfect off me (wish I remembered who on both sides)….went 493. I hit the replay and then quit out.

I enjoyed hitting bombs with the current god squad. Everyone that says the rewards suck will be glad they got the rewards in the coming months. Got my 30 wins. Got salmon, 87 street, 88 Grove, some other big dog card and random packs which I pulled Harper. All those cards will go towards bigger collections except Harper who I sold for 20k. And when people just say I bought the reward for 10k. I get it but these events are short so if you buy all the rewards that's 10k to 40k every week or less. That adds up and if you don't have 99 randy you should really only be spending stubs on the live series collection because that is the ultimate goal for collecting cards. Right now all the collections rewards are great and will be outdone in a month or two. So why not get use out of Utley, Thomas, young, Jansen, etc, before they are useless?

Yeah grinding out these early events is key for when collections drop. Cishek, Salmon, Soriano aren't exactly "worth it" rewards by themselves but they will all be 250k come July or August.

Thomas will never be useless. Those other women are all worthless, but never T-bone.

It’d be more enjoyable if people didn’t dashboard, but I enjoyed it. Didn’t start playing until last night and got my 15 wins in rather easily.

Yea not to be mean but if you couldn’t hit tanks in this moonshot event it may be time to find a new game to play

I hope not, you should see the PCI placement on some of my HR. i had at least 10 that the pci wasn't on any part of the ball. i allowed so many hr on pitches outside the zone. it's all whatever. it went both ways, i got my wins had some fun and moved on. anyone saying they couldn't hit enough hr...well you're just doing it wrong

I’m actually using cishek through missions until next program; he’s been fun. I’ll likely start tackling RS in the new season so we’ll see how he plays there.
