It’s so easy to tell who likes this gameplay because it helps them win games. The game is bad yet players defend it by insulting the players who don’t like it. Easy to tell who they make the game for every year.
Defend the game when an image or video clip gets shared that shows how shady it is.
In BR if you don’t swing at balls and take a good normal/power swing at a ball in the zone you are less likely to get rewarded than someone that has no plate discipline, never has good timing and fouls off 5 pitches off the dirt with contact swing before putting the ball in play.

The gameplay this year is miles better than last year yet the same jokers are on here complaining just as they were last year. Here’s a little wake up call. The game won’t please everyone so rather than spending incessant amounts of hours complaining about stuff that you have no control over why don’t you leave your house and get some fresh air. Take the dog for a walk. Converse with your family. Heck, take the wife out for a date. There are so many other things in life that deserve this amount of vitriol than losing your mind over virtual entertainment.
There is no chance you’re being serious about the gameplay.

I was just gonna ask, is everybody using contact swing again? I’m getting severely outhit every game. Most of the hits my opponents are getting are bloopers. It’s obnoxious!

Not everyone, but it’s very effective and seems pretty easy to spot when being used just based off the incredible accuracy on balls being hit foul 2 feet outside the zone by guys who can’t lay off pitches….two feet outside the zone. Kinda of a contradiction.
If you run into one find the sweet spot between the zone, and to far away where it fouls off. If it’s in the zone it’s gone, 4-8 inches outside and they might put it in play for weak out, 8-36 inches outside is a foul. Just be careful going for Ks, pitch to contact or your RP is done before you can pull him.

Why do you play this game man? I'm genuinely curious. Trust me, I'm annoyed with 22 for various reasons, I'd like more offline content, the market isn't flipping well, mini seasons doesn't work...I am critical of this games faults, but you seem intent on eradicating it. The OP sounds like a whiney 4 year old who didn't get the right toy for Xmas. @tmichae10_PSN is a pretty even keel person but he's right, commentary like that is not worth engaging. You don't like this game man. For the sake of your own sanity, stop playing it and go do something you enjoy. And stop picking fights online.

Sweet, why didn't you post this instead? I absolutely would have had far more empathy and while I know this post had nothing to do with me, you'd be more likely to get results that way.
Look man, I don't see any reason in picking fights on the internet. There are definitely some issues with this game. I just don't quite get the emotional outbursts it causes in people. I'm suuuuuuper bummed they took away team affinity. As a mostly offline player (I play BR sometimes) TA was my primary reason for buying this game. But I'm starting to find other things to like. It's just not worth getting so upset over.

Saying this is the worst game ever made is absurd hyperbole.
Saying the gameplay is vastly improved in '22 is also hyperbole, though not as absurd.
