I'm sorry, but the new commentary

T..........u............r...............d

I dont' have the game and only have seen it on twitch. But Boog sounds like one of those 16 bit sports talk baseball announcers back in the hey day of videogames.
-
I wonder if he talks like that at the dinner table. Not a fan of his vice, and Ken is like a stale piece of bread. I feel he gets lost in the background. I usually lower the setting of the commentary after a few weeks of play but I might be doing it sooner this year.
-
I feel bad saying it, but Boog has that affected sports announcer tone going on. I’ll be muting.
-
Laser!!! BASE HIT!!!!
All I hear, my friend and I mock it all the time we get hits in the game now. Was that annoying within the first day. -
It aint perfect but a change was needed.
-
What I don’t understand is that they got two new guys, and then almost half of the dialogue is exactly the same?
Boog is just trying way too hard, and so the tone is wildly uneven from one sentence to the next. At least Matty V was consistent with his delivery. Couldn’t they have gotten someone proven and consistent, like Jon Miller? And agreed that Chris gets buried.
-
I like the more natural tone of the two guys, but I agree some tinkering needs to be done. And isn't there a female voice that could have been added to the team someway, somehow?
-
I like how they say “whatever” when you turn their volume down to zero
-
I don't really have a problem with them perse but for all of the millions of hours of commentary they said they recorded, they need to fix it from playing the same stuff over and over.
-
Babe Ruth or Harmon Killebrew steps into the box....."Wow, this guy is a real throw back. He's not using any batting gloves"........ um well buddy.... HE IS A THROWBACK
-
Every George Brett at bat talks about him being throwback for no batting gloves and his chase for .400. Every. At. Bat.
-
"And #4 comes to bat" That is for Paul Molitor. Yep, no Molitor recording in the millions of hours they work to make this a boring part of the game.

Is already getting out of hand. Fly balls caught at the warning track are being called like they were robbery outs, "Boog" is practically yelling at every ball in play, and strike outs just sound generically boring or over-the-top exaggerated.
SDS picked decent replacements, but the calls are all over the place.
I've already muted commentary after only two full games. The majority of the recordings were used for Franchise n RTTS, i highly reccommend Franchise if you like commentary it's pretty immersive. Alot of crowd chants as well. DD has always been limited with commentary.
-
My name has been an option in create a player mode since Russell asked people in a forum to put their names in it. It's fine this year after 10 years sure to the new commentary. Sucks cause it was awesome to have my name in a game for once

At least he didn't say '#4 Bobby Orr?'
Why did they take out 'Money' as a last name/nickname? My real last name isn't included.....again! I liked hearing 'Raymond Money.' Now it's just 'Raymond Dawg.' I am a dawg, but....

You think that’s bad, “And #24 comes to bat”. That’s right. They don’t have the recording for Ken Griffey Jr. but they made sure to get the recording for Louis Head.

Rookie Griff they don't, but cover athlete Griffey they do. Minor oversight.
