I think you may be underestimating what mini seasons will have to offer. That will account for your team build lineups and encourage it for missions. We will have about the same amount of total conquest maps. We will still have topps now/monthly awards. We might have less moments in general but that isn't necessarily a Bad thing. There are two types of people that don't like the changes as of now, new in 21 and thinks SDS is turning to EA, and either opinion is fine, but just wait it out a little bit
I don’t think topps now is making a return. Which also could mean we don’t see a monthly awards program or see a drastically different version of the awards program

They already said on the stream there would be monthly awards. Can't barely have that without Topps Now. You can't have topps now cards until April 15th anyway

Heard similar complaints last year when they merged the program path and XP path. Turned out okay in the end.

You are much wiser than I......it seems soul crushing to start over when you don't feel like the game is better

I think the grind is going to be really hard this year. The fact that they vary the lengths of the featured program could really force you to play the game. You could take a week off of playing and then pick up the game and still completely knock out an inning program before the next inning starter. I do think TA needed to change. It was way too easy to complete them all and the players were better than some that were going for 500k stubs. I think it will make it so teams are more unique and you aren't just facing the same lineup every game with Degrom or Cabrera pitching.

I just grind US conquest and now doing that plus mini seasons is a hugely welcome addition. I found the Team Affinity to be tedious and I'm glad it's gone. They mentioned monthly awards on the DD stream and I'm sure there will be some form of Topps Now. And there will be All Star content, etc. It'll be just as easy to have a team of 99s.

Team Affinity isn't extra content in terms of something to do. It's just extra cards. It was a ton of annoying moments, annoying Showdown, and stats to accrue in OTHER modes of play. The only thing we're kind of losing is the cards, but who cares. As long as there's other ways to grind out 99s it's fine.

It was an easy way to compete with people who drop 2 thousand dollars on the game day one, now instead of 4 hours to complete it, it’ll take 50+ to complete less than half of it. Absolute L.

I could be wrong, my understanding is we are not getting potm programs. Obviously we don’t have any now the season just started.

You're right, of course it's too early for any POTM of TN content. Perhaps I'm naive but there isn't even a section to put it in. I'm assuming that's because it's not going to be the same.
My point is simply that they've consolidated a lot which is great for people who play multiple games or just want to grind as fast as they can. But for offline players, which I mostly am, it feels a but thin. This could all change when I actually start playing g games and missions and learn more about what's entailed.
I am probably in the minority but I liked to take my time with Team Affinity and do full roster builds and then play only games and player missions to earn points. It kept me occupied for 2 months in TA5 alone. Of course I could have skipped through with exchanges and showdown. But why would I pay for a game that I skip through?
I'm obviously a bit jaded. Last year I started in May and there was so much content it took me a while to get caught up. I'm in no rush to build an RS team. I just don't want to run out of things to do.
But, you are right, I have no idea what's coming in the other programs tab. Or what the featured programs will entail. I've already read some things on here that I didn't explore yesterday and perhaps I'm being way to judgy.

Even then I would be leery. The forums for almost every game released are full of complainers and naysayers on day 1. People love to come to forums and complain. Not nearly as many come to share good feedback.
