I don’t know why more people don’t do this, but here is my strategy:
Start the year off by buying a bundle of 50 packs, but make sure you get the ones that have 4 Trouts in each pack. That’s 200 Trouts (a school or Trout, if you will), and you’ll keep one and sell 199. Let’s say you sell each for an average of 300K. That brings in 53,730,000 stubs (factoring in the 10% tax). Assuming The Show packs are still going to be 1,500 stubs, you can purchase 35,820 additional packs. But, again, only buy the ones that have 4 Trouts in each pack. Forgetting to do this is where so many people go wrong. This will give you 143,280 Trouts. Assuming there are 4 levels of exchanges for each of the AL west teams, you can use 16 trouts as exchanges in the new program and still have 143,264 Trouts. Once again, you’ll need to sell these at an average of 300K. That will give you 4.2984e10 stubs, which should be enough to finish off the LS collection and leave enough left over to buy 5 Headliners Series 1 packs.
This is how I have completed the LS each year since 2006. That was back before trout was even in the big leagues, so almost no one had the foresight to invest in him the way I did.

Just play the game. Don't worry about completing the collections right away. Bask in the glory of using lesser cards for the first few weeks. By the time ta2 comes out everyone will have the same meta team and the game will be a repetitive snooze fest.

No one really has an answer, it all depends on countless variables. Some have disposable income and buy stubs, others pull trout + high diamonds that make it easier, others flip aggressively and tackle it in the first month, while others flipping take longer.
It’s all how you want to play/invest/complete and what cards you want. Maybe the collection rewards don’t interest you and you won’t have the “pressure” at all.

If you only want to collect players, sell your equipment, unis and stadiums for more stubs.Me personally, I would not rush to finish the live collection. Build a team that you can use on/offline to efficiently gather the rewards that will help complete the collections.

There are changes to Diamond Dynasty, there will certainly be new strategies and approaches based on the changes we will learn more about tomorrow. -

I know I will know out TA first, probably with Conquest, assuming H2H will be iffy with the server. I figure TA should give out some good packs and then 90s to fill out the team. But yes I'm selling everything that first few days. I know that will be the worst time to try and build collections. Just did not know about live cards, I know about a month in I did ok with prices and did not have to worry about those random impossible to find commons. That is really my only concern, having stubs to complete sets but just not being able to buy the card needed because there is no supply I want to say they started adding those common about two months in? I did a bunch of flipping last year but I might try to dabble in the Live series speculation on upgrades.

If I remember correctly, the first Flash sale of the year coincided with TA2 and LS tanked big time for a week or so. As the year went along , it seemed to me that big content drops like TA dropped prices more than anything.

There was a steady decline in LS card prices, then the all-star break hit and they really dropped but the legend/flashback card prices skyrocketed. Honestly, its the Flashback/legend cards you want to hold onto if those later 99 card collections are your goal. Once July Hit, those prices will skyrocket.

Yeah I learned that from last year. People were paying crazy prices for gold rookie, allstar and vet cards. So pick them up while they are first released and cheap and dont sell them. I still think it is a good idea to knock out LS early. Those cards are needed for so many sets plus once you have LS collection done you can focus on stacking stubs. I feel like last year my end game was good, but I did have to pay a bunch to finish out the Sigs and Prime sets for Mookie, Kershaw and Grif.

Generally same.
I finished collections late June last year. Bought Trout, Bellinger and Betts as my last 3 for a total of about 700K stubs. I got a some decent early pack pulls (DeGrom/Cole) early but probably could have finished faster if I was smarter with selling/flipping/investing but I don't like wasting valuable game time playing virtual stock market.
If you get lucky with packs (free ones, dont buy them), manage to do BR programs quickly and just sell everything thats not LS early you can probably finish faster.

I was able to earn Kershaw, I cannot unlock Griffey the Prime, Award and Milestone cards are really expensive. I am happy with my efforts though, I went from not being a DD player to being 7 collections away from finishing each collection.
