Rock that icon!
I remember many were happy to rock the gold watch icon for maxing the Daily Moment month.
I want to play RS so bad, but I still drop my PCI and get under a lot of crushable pitches. Timing is 'Good 85-90% of the time, but i would leave too many runs on the table to win consistently. -

Yes, I am that guy that has to come to this forum feeling proud he made WS for first time.
I am closer To 50 than 40, and a baseball die hard. I coach my sonās travel team which is one of the best in the country for their age and we bond over the sport. I have played the show for ages but always RtTS , but he turned me on to DD last year for first time. I loved collecting cards as a kid so was hooked and while it took me a bit to adapt to the speeds of RS, made Championship series most seasons but would always die in low 800s.
This year I only made one attempt prior to this season but made the mistake of trying to go from 600 to 900 WS on 5 days and it just burnt me out having To try to play multiple games on days I was clearly off, peaking around 865 than sliding backā¦. I thought I wouldnāt even try again as I donāt really like RS but decided to give it one more shot and do it slow this time. Went 16-3 on the season and hit near .300 which is good for me.
Anyway, my wifeās eyes would roll so fast she might suffer brain damage if I tried to explain this āaccomplishmentā to her so you guys are one of the few places that might appreciate my story.
Thanks to those who made it this far in my postā¦this āold guyā for this community and game signing out.

Before the lockout, TEX did quite well...Corey Seager and Marcus Semien. The AL West is going to have all 5 teams competing in September!

Congrats @OreoRockstar_PSN. You're one of the more thoughtful and insightful posters on here and have helped me
by answering questions here and there many times. I just turned 40 and feel like I'm the only old(er) guy on here so it's nice to see a bunch of people play this game in my age range. That's awesome you got to WS. Who did you select? And was this a new reward or do you have everyone and just made some bank? I know that's not the point of this achievement, but it's definitely a nice perk.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the game is about dead as dead as a game can be and the quality of the players at this point is an absolute shell of what it was.
Stillā¦..nice accomplishment, but it isnāt the same accomplishment as it was up through when Trout dropped.

And the classiest of forum members keeps it classy as always. Thanks, my friend.
The above Comments are like saying āthat guyās first major league home run isnāt really an accomplishment as he hit it off Derek Holland and not Jacob DeGrom.
I played more WS guys in this run than I remember in the frantic other attempt earlier in the season, but it doesnāt matter. I am not ever going to hang with the Top 75 crowd that can hit 1100-1300 rankings , but I know where my skills are and honestly think I could make it every season if I take the approach I took this time around.

I always laugh when people say the game is dead, yet here they are on the forum and still playing the game. There are less players today than 9 months ago, this is true, but it's the casuals who are gone. I was a typical casual RS player and I gave that up a long time ago because I'm just not hood enough to compete at that level. Casuals like me are gone. Everyone who is left are the actual talented players like @raesONE_PSN @OreoRockstar_PSN to name a few. Whenever I hop online now to try RS (I'm more inclined to try BR), I feel the competition is more challenging then it was 9 months ago. And I've improved immensely.....trust me.
Additionally, every pitcher you face is an OP 99 these days, 9 months ago, you faced Silvers and golds.
All of these things aside, why do you enjoy popping people's bubbles? I'm generally curious. @OreoRockstar_PSN is a stand up dude who helps a lot of people on here, myself included for no other reason than he likes the game and wants to share that. Sooo...actually yeah, no need to respond, I don't wanna hijack this thread and go 6 rounds for no reason.

So probably, the REAL drop-off will be when the new version of the game is released and all those die-hards who are excellent players move over to that. I am looking forward to that so I can stay behind and be more competitive. LOL

Dead isnt a good explanation, but after August and definitely September there is a huge fall off, because mainly the casual players leaving as you stated. But after the WS is over it is pretty safe to say the game is dead. While dead might not mean not a single player playing online, it definitely means at least a 70% reduction from April and May. If not more.
But yes, you will definitely face more talented players after September than April - until then. Thats why you got to make your run during those prime Months lol.

I honestly didnāt mean the comment as negatively as you took it. I saw your post and it made me thing about the current quality of competition I have been experiencing, so I commented. I do mean the congratulations though.
Why are we talking about character? We are talking about the quality of online opponents in a video game. Iām having trouble connecting the dots.
The way you responded it sounds like you are already knew the opponents were not very good on your WS run.
