Server connection issues for me is the main thing to improve ... every time I see Puerto Rico I know I'm fcked the fact that timing or latency is so different from game to game even at the same difficulty make this game barely enjoyable
LOL - I get PR players all the time here in northern FL. Every once in a while it's a good connection, but usually it's "blink" and a 102 mph FB is past me. In the latest event, my first 2 opponents quit after I struck out the side in the 1st inning, so... "silver lining"?
I'm in Quebec ... Quebec city ..... The but* hole of Canada ... I also win most of my game vs PR but it's a freakin pain shove deep down in between
then slowly get up trough my brain, sometimes I'll be happy to see that "blink" and not just a fkn dot freezing until the ref make his call. I'm not complaining it's just not even fun... well ok I complain ... sorry !Sacre bleu!

They really have got to do something about pitch speeds next year!
In the same game, you can have half the community struggling to catch up to outlier fastballs and sinkers online, and you can have Madison Baumgarner throwing 88mph four seams in COTW starting on rookie. Those pitches are SO slow it is ridiculous.
The difference between Baumgarner on rookie and Ryan on All star is huge, and I’m not even talking about HOF or legend.
Even leaving aside the fact that the pitch speeds from mode to mode vary considerably (not to mention connection issues), IMO there needs to be a LOT more consistency in pitch speeds for this game to make sense.
I know many will argue that they are having a hard enough time hitting online as it is, but I would argue that more universal pitch speeds (like Baumgarner and Ryan at the extremes of ONE difficulty as a margin) would be a vast improvement.
They won't fix the servers and connection issues. Their precious coast streamers that are right next to the servers wouldn't be 500-50. Just look at the leaderboards or ask where people are from. Almost every top player is located really close to an alleged server location. Close to server with mediocre internet are the best ingredients for this game.

- Remove the "outlier".
- Use HOF pitch speeds in EVERY division.
- Adjust pci size in each RS division accordingly.
There is no need to revert back to slow pitch MLBTS18.
I don’t care what pitch speed they use as long as it’s universal. I would prefer HOF with all star pci.
I don't play ranked so it is not an issue for me but I can't see them changing all divisions to HOF pitching. As mentioned, it would alienate too many players. It also would serve to dissuade new players from investing in online play. Once they get shut out or no hit a few times and they will simply give up and stop playing.
Maybe a better option would be a Preferred Pitch Speed and PCI option for online/ranked that acts like a floor but not a ceiling.
For example if you set your settings to HOF for both then you will never go below that even in the lower divisions. If you choose Veteran/All-star you would see those difficulties as normal in the lower divisions but the game would then still ramp up the difficulty as you advance like it does now.
That would give you what you want (consistency in pitch speed) without shutting out new players.

This years ranked season is difficult to be sure. But not for everyone. Maybe it’s because they develop and test it on computer monitors? That whole discussion about playing on a fast monitor compared to a TV. I’m always hard-wired on a TV, PS4 Pro w framereate settings, and this years game is the one that I struggle on , unlike prev. years. Is that it? Should they calibrate pitch speeds for TVs instead of developing on high speed CPU monitors?

I’ve been really struggling in MLB stadiums the last couple games. Sometimes I wonder if some players use them intentionally with outlier pitchers.
