Tatis is light years ahead of Franco. Soto is probably the best right fielder as well.
Soto is too slow for me to put in the OF. He is probably the best bench bat though. The defense is definitely better than last year; and I think the hitting is either the same or close. I didn’t check the attributes of last year’s.
-
My current lineup. I would also add my personal preference is speed, power, position versatility and defense in that order. I also like a good balance of lefties and righties in my lineup, so switch hitters are the best of both worlds.
Tatis SS - no debate here
Griffey LF- maybe the most balanced card in the game. If you want a true LF go with Oneil or Hank
Mays CF- his defense is a difference maker
Mantle- RF- I like his speed and switch hitting. That gives him the advantage over many of the guys. Although Acuna is still glitchy
Ruth 1b- Tons of guys Ortiz, Votto, Frank, Vlad Jr, FInest Freeman, Finest Muncy, Prince I still like Ruth.
Chipper 3b- Again switch hitter solid defense, really no holes in his game. Im actually playing Finest Freeman here with Chipper on the bench.
Mookie- 2b- he does it all. Ive tried all others, always come back to Mookie
Foxx C- best offensively but out of position. Same applies to Schwarber. Perez is also nice, but soooo slow, same with Posey. Adley just did not have any pop for me. JT is probably the most balanced from a power, speed, defense point of view.Jackie, Turner and Wagner still great bench guys, with position versatility and speed. Vlad Sr. and Hank are also solid options in the OF. I really like speed in my OF though, Oneil is also a great choice. Muncy is a dark horse if you like his swing and he has positon flexibility.

2B being Trea Turner? OP knows what he's talking about, 2nd best card in the game.

His reaction makes up for the speed. His bat is definitely worth it bro

The bit I’ve played with the finest Tatis immediately reminded me of the Turner card. He’s just automatic.

I might be in the minority but I like Tatis in center, with Griffey and Soto filling out the rest of the outfield. I also like Trae in center

I will definitely try him out there. I am always up for trying new cards out. There are so many outfielders, I might as well try all I can. His hitting attributes are great and I know he has a great swing.

Mantle in center with Mays in right is the move. Mantle is only diamond defense in center (Parallel 3) where Mays is Diamond in any of his positions.

I don’t have the 99 Griffey yet but I had the one below it and used it today. Juniior hit a homer and made a defensive gem of a ball that might have been a home run. Just saying you don’t always need the latest card.

This weekend I'm gonna do a massive sell off of everything I don't have locked in and build the best possible god squad I can come up with. Here's my current lineup:
C Jimmie Fox
1B Babe Ruth
2B Jackie Robinson
3B Chipper Jones
SS Honus Wagner
OF: Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Willy MaysNow here's every 99 hitter card in the game that I don't currently own: Francisco Lindor, Nolan Arenado, Stan Musial, Josh Donaldson, Johnny Bench, Cody Bellinger, Bryce Harper, Todd Helton, Larry Walker, Al Kaline, Ralph Kiner, Rickey Henderson, Eric Davis, Lou Gherig
Are any of those guys a noticeable upgrade over what I already have?

Upgrade??? Hard to say....there are a lot of great players listed but your team can be argued against any of them. Personally I prefer Lindor at SS bhecause he's a switch hitter though Honus has better speed.
Rickey and Davis are hitting, stealing and scoring machines but your outfield is very versatile. I also love Yelich our there for his quick bay and lightning speed. Not IRL anymore but his 99 is pretty amazing.

I’m hitting .404 with his card online, the card is just unreal, when Trout forces me to move Mookie to 2B then I will be moving Trea to 3rd and Chipper to the bench. Unless I start to suck with Mays out of nowhere
-
I’m running
C- Realmuto
1B- Babe (Freddie, Foxx or Giambi) will fight for the position. I can’t hit with Babe
2B- Dodger legend Trea Turner
3B- Chipper/Seager fighting for the everyday job
SS-Tatis Jr.
LF- Griffey Jr.
CF- Mays
RF- MookieBench: Foxx, Soto, Yelich, Honus, Ketel
-
Dodger Legend Trea Turner.

True but don't you want your absolute best defender in CF?

Theoretically yes. But the difference in gaining a couple speed points in center is far less noticeable than maintaining diamond animations at all outfield positions. It's not like one is drastically worse in centre than the other, but one is drastically worse in the corner.

Except he doesn't have Trea's swing. Which is probably the best in the game besides maybe Mantle and Chipper.

Trae has a great swing for sure, but so does Morgan as long as him crowding the plate doesn't mess with you. Agree on chipper but I'd put him trout Tatis and Soto in a higher tier to mantle's swing by a decent amount personally. That's where this game can stay interesting though, different cards work for different people, just don't see much love for Joe so I threw it out there.
Ps awards Trevor Story still my SS in any crucial game I play. Still a monster

I'll give it try. Of course when Trout comes out that will be a whole different problem.
