Who is NOT Grinding for Griffey?
-
I finally got Kershaw last week when I finally completed 15 Vouchers for him. Now the quota was increased within 5 to 20 Cards more pending the Card Series. Myself personally, I do NOT feel Griffey is worth the grind to get him. This year SDS flooded us with tons of content & many Outfielders with super juiced attributes that the need for Griffey I feel is NOT motivating enough. To me Griffey does NOT draw me enough due to his 99 Card being so much easier to get in past years & as well just me being a personal fan of him to go out of my way just to him on my team this year with so many other options that can be easily obtained without the required grind. Griffey's Card would have been better as an Innings Program Boss or having his own individual Player Program. This "Ultimate" Reward Card for this "Ultimate" Collection should have been for an other player & especially for a player that we have NOT yet seen or have NOT seen in a few years as a Super Juiced 99 Card. Players that come to mind is Mike Trout, Manny Ramirez, Steve Garvey, David Cone, Kirk Gibson, Lance Parrish, Frank Viola, Kenny Rogers, Etc.
I'm wondering if I might be the only one feeling & thinking this way of if there might be a few others that think & feel same way towards this.

Trout was the reward last year.Garvey would not be worth that level of collection and none of the others have been in the game before. Griffey was really the only one left(coulda been Pujols too) the others worth it( Mays,Aaron,Ruth,Gehrig,) released in other ways. that triple crown Foxx woulda been worth it.(he got runner up instead)

99 Trout was the collection reward last year. Griffey was a solo boss last year, so he wasnt going to be one again. He was going to be either a collection reward or a BR/RS reward.
No one is going to lock in so many cards for a Lance Parrish, or Kenny Rogers card. -
Will they drop an mvp harper/shohei and another trout still?
-
The only one of those players you listed at the end that would make a good final collection reward is Trout, who we had last year. The biggest collection reward will never be a pitcher because you can’t use them every game. The reward has to be a 5-tool player to be worth it, not Steve Garvey ffs.

There was another thread that addressed Harper/Shohei and they said that they don't do Award cards (such as MVP) the same year they receive the reward. So, maybe next week we get MVP cards for them. I still think we get another Trout. Maybe a 10th inning boss.

I'm not. I jumped into the game for the first time in a while. I completely ignored the last inning program.
I decided that I would complete my Cardinals team so I bought Arrenado, finished the Yadi player program and now will work on getting Goldschmidt. At that point any other playing I do will be with that team.
I decided that if they ever release 99 Pujols it will be too late for me to care.

I play online offline and love playing this game just for collections. DD for me is finishing the game with all collections, programs, conquest maps, pretty much everything online. So def going to be playing to get Giff Jr. as long as it takes.
When I finally do collect him, that will be the saddest day as the game will be pretty much over for me. I know they'll put out some Thanksgiving and Xmas Conquest maps but other than that, probably wait until 22.

Sorry, you’re right. ‘‘Twas a troll post

I’m not. I’m good on all the 99 overall outfielders I have. And since I don’t play the market they also would cost less stubs

I have a feeling I won't get him. Which, even though is my fault for starting late, makes me upset
He is one of the few players I wanted to obtain; but by the time they release the pat bosses and henchmen, of they do that this year, I probably will be taking a break to get ready for 22.

Thankfully I had enough cards to get griffey right away with no extra grinding required.

Same, these idiots do this mess adding the Griffeys, the Trouts, Pujols late thinking there will be a mass influx of gamers back into the game. Fail. Most people stop playing or caring after the postseason. I ignored the last 1-2 innings as well, and I get certain Cardinals cards too, and thats it. I may do a conquest here and there. But there are far better games at this point. Game is just stale to me though, has been for a while

I got him right quick. Put him into a ranked game and right away he comes to bat in the 1st with 2 on, 2 out. His very first pitch an inside cutter and I swing and FLY AWAY BASEBALL!!!!!! No doubter to right center. I'd tell ya the distance but unfortunately my opponent's connection gave out while the ball was still in the air. That's a walk-off in the first by Reds legend Griffey Jr.
Since then, a few games, a few bombs here, a few more there.... He's on a tear out there! A true card to fear if you're pitching to it. Cant recommend enough. 4 out of 4 stars, would grind again.

Doesn’t Harper already have an award card or some 99 card?
