Hall of fame is unplayable. Facing all 102 mph fastballs vs topps hitters. Not fun. May be all start it would have been nice. SDS what are you thinking?
Yep, I typically play events + BR, but just not skilled enough for HoF….as I’ve capped BR at this point, spending rest of event season in ranked.
Though my second game there was JV with opponent using pinpoint….that lack of energy loss is for real.

HOF batting and legend pitching in online rated no issues here git gud
-
I've only played one game in the event. Dude quit after I hit a 3 run bomb off of Walter Johnson. I don't care at all about getting that milestone Eck, so I won't be grinding this one. Maybe play a few more games just for kicks
-
I’m admittedly not great online so plan to just buy Eck. He’s already under a mil and BR is coming out this week
-
I’ve actually enjoyed it as last year they alternated HOF and AS and this year the last HOF event was like in May. I don’t play RS so is nice to play on this level and am 16-3 right now so like the challenge.
-
I dig hof, not the Topps now cards . Was hoping to use Mays and Hank during the event
-
I hear your there. The parameters are dumb as you have the elite of the elite SP/RP options and then aside from Hayes no 125/125 contact options.
-
This thing is impossible…. And ranked seasons too all levels… I wish it was back to 2019. Got World Series twice in 2018 and 2019, and always competing in Championship series. Now it is just impossible. 2020 was easier to hit but 2021 it is just freaking impossible.
-
Nah. Hate outliers, total cheese. I hadn't played BR until this week, and now I realize that BR plays the best game of baseball on the Show. Real strengths and weaknesses, not 99's all over the place and 13 pitchers who throw 102.
BR from now on for me.

This!!! ( BTW, saw You are cruising pretty well in the event, we’ll done. Sent you a friend request awhile ago as love to play some friendliest since we both have all the cards).
-
Yeah, I agree. I don’t really understand the git gud crowd that wants to play on HOF and Legend all the time. There is certainly a spot in the game for them, but they have to understand they are the overwhelming minority. I’m currently 53-12 in RS and capable of getting wins on HOF, but it’s simply just not fun to me. It’s a video game after all, I play it for fun. I have much more fun hitting dingers in a slug fest on All Star than a long 2-1 drawn out, soul draining DeGrom vs Verlander pitchers duel.

You did? Sorry man, I’ll look for that today as I never saw it come thru for some reason.

Here is the problem with outlier. Jacob degrom has outlier, but he only averaged throwing 7 pitches per game 100 plus. Now in the game you can hammer 102 for 9 innings. They should be able to hit 102 according to irl stats. But as we know SDS doesn’t use irl stats when it’s applied to pitching
Outlier is one of the worst additions to this game in its entire history.
-
I probably won't play the event because like the OP I struggle on hall of fame, but I have no problem with it being set to that difficulty. At this point in the year diehards who are skilled enough to handle higher difficulties probably make up most of the player base, so I don't see the big deal with SDS throwing them a bone and letting them enjoy a good challenge after almost every previous event was on all star. Ninety percent of the game's content is catered more to weaker players like me, so it's not the end of the world if one event is a bit too hard.

Not to mention not everyone wants to play on a computer screen. The difference between HOF and AS this year seems wider than normal.

Just practice man. Once you get it down HOF plays so much better than crackhead NBA JAM with a tennis racket all star difficulty.

But to the prior post's point, a monitor is kind of a must. Makes the game so much more enjoyable but switching from my TV (and a highly rated gaming TV at that) to a gaming monitor was a complete game changer for me and best decision I've made.
-
Oh and please get rid of Shippett. I was struggling to score 1 to 2 runs in my first 7 or 8, next game is at Shippett and I put up 8. That Park has way too much affect on offense.
-
I was actually a little nervous playing on Hall of Fame, as I play on a TV in game mode as opposed to a monitor. That being said though, I think Events have scaled down sliders than you would face in ranked seasons. All star events have always felt like 102 came in slower than in ranked. This hall of fame event feels like playing All Star in ranked to me. The only real difference that I've noticed have been the break on cutters and sliders

For real. Personally, I think online play is too easy on All Star, but too hard on HOF. But I’d prefer All Star because for the sake of entertainment I’d rather have more offensive production. I think a difficulty between AS and HOF would be perfect.
