    Ken Griffey Sr. Career Stats:
    BA- .296
    Hits- 2143
    HR's- 152
    RBI- 859
    3x All-Star

    I saw Sr. play.
He was not even remotely special.
His greatest career accomplishment was siring Jr.

A nice player who hit in a lineup with Rose, Morgan, Bench, and Foster.
    This is super lame, SDS.
The guy was a Gold caliber player on his best day.
I would rather no content than cut and paste filler content.

What are your career major league baseball stats? Just curious.

    That's all you got, friend?
We're debating the merits of Griffey Sr and your contribution to the discussion is what were my MLB stats?

    Christopher Hitchens you are not.

Yep. Lol. You're sitting here saying a mlb player is not worthy of a sig card or whatever you're argument is. So, I'm asking you what your mlb stats were? Could you do better? Your argument is you diminishing a quality major league baseball players stats. You have zero idea what it takes to play at that level, you most likley played jv baseball for your high school and that was the end of your career. Sitting on here acting like Griffey sr did nothing in his career. Sit down son

These extra stat metrics are what is ruining the game. Always get the same argument.

Take a guy like Gallo, this dude SHOULD NOT be playing in the majors. I could care less about OBP, if there is a runner on 2nd two outs and u need a hit, a walk does nothing.

Here’s an example of someone that doesn’t understand how hitters bring value in different ways. Gallo had a 123 wRC+ this year. That means he was 23% better than the league-average. That’s better than Tim Anderson, Jake Cronenworth, Nolan Arenado, Adam Frazier, and many more. Being able to compare two totally different types of players with extremely different offensive skillsets and determine which one is truly more productive using advanced metrics has made the game so much better. Having a .300+ AVG doesn’t necessarily mean that person is a better offensive player than the guy with a .200 AVG that hits for power and walks.

If there’s a runner on 2nd with two outs, I’d rather my hitter walk than swing at junk or make weak contact for an out. With how many homeruns are being hit these days, having a high OBP is more valuable than ever.

Agree. A walk can be more valuable than a hit, especially if the pitcher knows how good of a slugger you are and will bait you into striking out.

Chris Davis was trying too hard to get hits and racked up Ks.

Ok, sure. You betcha. But he shares a name with a Hall-of-Famer (with a different suffix). So do the 20 minutes of moments, and the 45-minute All-Star-level game, get the XP and stop whining. 🙂

And don’t forget that gallo shares a last name with a salami hall of famer. Gallo is the best salami that you can get from a regular store. Prove me wrong

Have you noticed how all of the announcers this post season are in awe at some of these teams and their situational hitting? Advancing runner, hitting to the opposite field, putting the ball in play. This is what you are supposed to do in baseball. And notice the teams that are doing this keep winning postseason games.

I'm no Whit Merrifield fan, but he led the league in hits 2x, and SB 3x in just 5 1/2seasons. He also led the league in doubles once and triples once. Thats more deserving of a high rating than someone like Matt Harvey.

No, im not comparing the two. I am simply stating that I would rather face Gallo because he strikes out 3 out of 4 times a game. And if he walks? Good luck against bonds

Yeah, you are. Because you'd rather pitch to pretty much anybody in the history of the game than pitch to Bonds. Lame example.

It is indeed a bad argument. You don't have to be good at something to be able to offer a valid criticism of someone else's work. That is elementary rhetoric. I get where you're coming from, but it's an emotional and overly personal response to a reasoned criticism (whether you agree with it or not). It's immature.

Have any of the vets of The Show gone back and looked at that thread? 🤣😂🤣 Glorious!. My other favourite was the one about the patch that nearly resulted in a real life brawl between two users. Whether I play this game in the future or not I will always be on this forum just for the entertainment.

Exactly what RBIs were supposed to be left for him with that lineup around him? Morgan, Perez, Foster, Rose, Bench. HRs and RBIs aren’t the only things that matter, he scored over 1100 runs and had over 2100 hits.
