D. Williams/ gold Betances
Just curious. why the gold Betances and not the Prime?
Prime card is just fastball/slurve, with 68 break 70 control on his 2-seam. Pretty underwhelming. His gold has the same H/9, with 99 break on his Slurve/Slider/& Knucklecurve. All 3. So if I'm gonna use a Betances card this year, it'll have to be the gold. Unless he gets a 99, which he totally deserves, but probably isn't getting
Break doesn’t mean much to a good hitter in this game. His gold has a very hittable fastball and the fastball on his prime I’m pretty sure has outlier. This years game is all about fastball velocities and even a 97-98 mph fastball is hittable without that outlier quirk. In fact you’re doing most of us a favor if you’re using big breaking curves and sliders with pitchers who have outlier fastballs. Maybe your too hung up on those attributes.
I'm not hung up on anything. I'm using a gold card over a diamond first of all. Don't even get me started about how pitches in this game have no break, pitches are the least deceptive they've ever been (unless it was already like this in 20). It's one of the biggest reasons this game sucks. It's why outlier / sinker cutter as a meta is the strictest it's ever been. I just wanted to answer the guy above. That gold Betances sits on 99 & regularly touches 100. He's easily the better of 2 of you feel like using his card in a pinch. The prime doesn't have outlier

I have all of the Betances cards and the only one that reaches 100 is the 95 prime card. That’s talking about the baseline card. I’m not talking about a card that is Paralleled. And regardless of what you claim the good hitters in this game crush big breaking pitches. If you are using those pitches to get by with Betances than I question the level of the competition you’re playing but great for you if your successful in this game with that card. Not looking to get into a pissing contest with you. Just pointing out that your logic is misguided.

Never mind you’ve played a grand total of 32 online games. Your argument is null and void. I can make a common pitcher look good against the CPU. When you post in a thread it might help to point out that your experiences are based on offline play!!! Where your break attributes actually matter.

I've played thousands of online games of The Show over the years, online on this game blows, I can play however much of whatever I feel like. You're just some complete loser douche who came looking for an argument, no one ever said that Betances card was goated, just that I'm using it over his prime. The gold card touches 100. You're a [censored]. Breaking balls are easy to hit period, non-outlier fastballs are easily hit by anyone who's decent, you're not educating anyone about anything, sit your little b*tchass down, seems like all you want to do is nag at people. Like dude, understand this, nobody gives a [censored] about you, or anything you have say

Wow, you get called out on your bs and you blow a gasket. Look kid, you playing against your friends list doesn’t make you an authority on anything online kid. You telling me that you’ve played thousands of games online over the years means literally nothing when it comes to this year. So go troll elsewhere clown. You go on believing your gold Betances is good. I challenge you to get past Division Series in Ranked Seasons using that card.

The gold card is better IMO. 4 pitches with almost max break is key for a reliever. Put him in for an inning and try to keep them guessing,

Edwin Diaz milestone
Rob Nen milestoneBetances is also quite amused that you two are fussing over him so much. He says his soon to be revealed 99 milestone (season ending surgery card) will absolutely dazzle.

I like how those two keep going at it, then there a few normal posts about people's bullpens.. then another argument between them.. then normal bullpen posts lol made me laugh.

Right???? I wonder if Betances would really be flattered since nothing is happening with his career at the moment.
Ps: I suck at online play and would rather face Austin Adam's IRL in the rain with no helmet with my life on the line then have to play Online hahaha, so I am certainly no authority on anything, but I prefer the closers with a super quick meter/windup because it allows me not to think and just fling the rock.

I love Mo, but sometimes he gives up a random hit or HR after shutting a few batters down efficiently.

99 Rivera
99 Gossage
99 Jansen
97 Eckersley
96 Reyes
99 Miller
97 Chapman
93 BrittonOnly possible changes I could see is maybe Gagne and then the 99 Wagner once he finally drops.

That dude got banned apparently, not sure what he said to me that SDS deemed bannable as I wasn’t able to see the response before it was deleted. Was it really that hostile?
-
Gossage and Jansen worth it? I've been debating but how many people can you use. My bullpen is:
Diaz
Eckersley
Hoffman
Rivera
Chapman
Hader
Gossage 95
L. Smith
Sometimes I mix in Britton, Nen, or Reyes. Is Fingers much different than Eck? -

99 finest Yates would also make my bullpen. I dream of an all 99 bullpen
Rivera
Gossage
Jansen
Gagne
Wagner
Yates
Finest Hader/ Chapman (ok he's a 98 but close enough) -

Who do you have in your pen? I’m not completely happy with mine, but I’m not sure there are better options available? Gossage is the best reliever in the game IMO, Chapman, Miller are both staying,
Gossage
Chapman
A Miller
Soto
Dibble
L Smith
Britton
RiveraConsidering:
Fingers
Nen
Reyes
Hoffman
G Richards (Topps Now)
P Corbin (post season)Chapman SS
Reyes AS
Familia MS
Britton - Prime
Fingers - SS
Goose - AS
Rivera - MS
Miller - SSI do very well with this bullpen , I have tried many different relivers this works the best , although once 99 Gagne and Wagner are released I'll probably replace Miller and Familia.
