Jeter would actually look like Clemente, hitting wise. Carew in his career had 92 HR. Clemente 240 HR. And Jeter 260, so he would have roughly 85 power.

In MLBTS he would just be essentially Rod Carew... a contact hitter with below average power, defense and speed. Again, I'm not trying to offend anyone, I just don't get why everyone wants him when there would be more fun options to use in game as new legends because their card stats would be better, like say, Adrian Beltre.

Ok I'm going to say I'm a Yankees fan but a lot of time they use stolen bases to assess a legend's speed and Jeter stole way more bases than story. If you chose his 2009 silver slugger year where he finished with a positive dwar, fantastic stolen base percentage and a good average you could easily have a Jackie Robinson light at SS.
Also, everyone who decides to hate on a Jeter card remember future stars get ridiculous things all the time and when were half of the 95+ players actually 95+ players? People would get excited for the card and it absolutely would help sell games.

Jeter would probably look like Honus Wagner with slightly more power realistically if he gave them his rights… There is no way he’d do it and have his actual card which would look like Robin Yount.

Stolen bases aren't the be all end all for speed though. With Jeter they'd have to go back and measure his ft/sec and get an accurate read there, evidence of this is Whitt Merrifield having 39 bases on the season but only a 73 speed. His ft/sec is at 28.6 feet per second.
I don't believe Jeter would be over 90 speed, not without parallel anyway, id wager 85 at most and thats simply because his card would need some juice.
The only way Jeter gets a good card is if he gets a Sig series card, that way he can have the high contact, average 100's power, semi decent fielding, and decent speed. Otherwise his card will be off balance and won't come close to Jackie who has been a premium for the last 6 iterations of the game. Granted different position, but I wouldn't want a Jackie clone when I could just have Jackie.
Add to that whomever we see throughout that year that can also play SS. Several cards in the past (and currently) I would play at 2B/SS over the Jeter card I believe we would get.
No knock on Jeter, I loved him as a kid (share the same first name, spelling and all), I just don't see him being a good card in MLBTS unless its very early on.

When they do inevitable put him in the game they will make a big deal about it like they did with Griffey so I’d imagine his car will be loosely based on a true story so that it lives up to the hype. I like the sad Philadelphia sports fan that I am will still be using Rollins regardless. (Who, might I add has more MVPs than Jeter)
