I would say he would be closer to Molitor, and we all know how many people like using his cards. Their offensive numbers are pretty similar including the exact same career OPS.

So is he want from a competitive position no but from a fan of the game he is a must at some point.
Remember at all of our cores the reason we play this game is because we are fans of baseball and the history of this game before we are online competitors
This is well said, and I think gets at the heart of the matter for many... for those who want to run the best cards out to give themselves the best chance of winning an online game, Jeter may not provide the roster advantage they're looking for. For those who grew up loving the Yankees and him in particular, just the chance to run him out there makes the game better by leaps and bounds.
Give me a Mark Kotsay to run out in center field and I'll play him every game, even though he isn't going to out-hit the other options. I have to like my players to enjoy the game. Winning or losing ranks well below that.

Jeter would actually look like Clemente, hitting wise. Carew in his career had 92 HR. Clemente 240 HR. And Jeter 260, so he would have roughly 85 power.

In MLBTS he would just be essentially Rod Carew... a contact hitter with below average power, defense and speed. Again, I'm not trying to offend anyone, I just don't get why everyone wants him when there would be more fun options to use in game as new legends because their card stats would be better, like say, Adrian Beltre.

Ok I'm going to say I'm a Yankees fan but a lot of time they use stolen bases to assess a legend's speed and Jeter stole way more bases than story. If you chose his 2009 silver slugger year where he finished with a positive dwar, fantastic stolen base percentage and a good average you could easily have a Jackie Robinson light at SS.
Also, everyone who decides to hate on a Jeter card remember future stars get ridiculous things all the time and when were half of the 95+ players actually 95+ players? People would get excited for the card and it absolutely would help sell games.

The marketing/advertisement essentially writes itself and he 100% would move games.
