Its a bit early for him but a 99 FS Jack Leiter would be universaly welcomed by Rangers fans after what we are going through the few years.

I think I can count the number of times I've pitched with Saberhagen on one hand going back to 17, so I'm not exactly excited. A no hitter card could be good though. I'll try him out, but I doubt he'll be one of the cards I go after early on.

The level of hate for FS cards amazes me
FS cards will be a huge disappointment in the sense that we're getting some mostly unknown minor leaguer who doesn't deserve a 99 and is literally a best case fantasy of what might happen one day. These dudes haven't had a single day in the majors and some of them are probably gonna be better than a 99 Pedro card. That's ludicrous. Don't get me wrong, I'll still use them, but I'd much rather have deserving legends or current players get these cards.
I felt the same way a few years ago too, as I really love the legends, but the Future Stars and Prospect Cards have really grown on me to become some of my favorite cards in the game (At least it's not the same old cards we've been using for years). If we get a 99 Adley, I don't think that will disappoint. Here are some others (Top 10) besides Adley we might get:
- Adley Rutschman (Orioles)
- Spencer Torkelson (Tigers)
- Bobby Witt Jr. Royals
- Joey Bart (Giants)
- Keibert Ruiz (Nats)
- Nolan Gorman (Cards)
- O'Neil Cruz (Pirates) (His 84 Gold Prospect last year was amazing)
- Julio Rodriguez (Mariners) or Kelenic
- Vidal Brujan (Rays) (Loved this card last year!) or P Baz
- Jarran Duran (Red Sox)
These would be some really fun cards.
I'm not saying these cards won't be extremely good or fun to use, just that they don't deserve to have a super juiced 99 card over an actual major leaguer who's actually earned it. Most people have never heard of these prospects unless they're from your favorite team. At this point these players are essentially just CAPs. They're literally making up stats for them. I'd rather have legends or flashbacks personally.
It's a video game for fans, it is NOT a trophy system for former or current MLB players.
Do you think Mike Trout goes home at night and cries in his 426.5 million dollar contract because a prospect got a 99 card and he doesn't have one yet?
This entire take (not just you, the movement in general) is laughable. This is a fantasy sports game. If it's not your thing, no problem, you decide what you play.
What it comes down to for me is I'd rather play an MLB game with a great MLB player rather than some minor leaguer I've never heard of. I Don't think that's laughable. Stoked to use Maddux and Olerud.

Love Duke's LH swing in CF! Wow All 99's. Market crash coming on high to mid priced cards hitters and SP that are over 50k (with all of these 99's for grinding, no reason they will stay so high, even bosses).....prices about to go up soon (even more) on cheap cards near quick sell for exchanges....get them soon before its too late.

Mets Im thinking Tom Seaver card but then Sheffield 500th homer card makes a lot of sense too

I hope they use future stars only when there is no alternative, like they don't have rights to a team legend or it has already been released.
For example, for the Cardinals they still have 99 Gibson and 99 Pujols in the wings that could be the TA4. If they give me a Nolan Gorman or a Matthew Liberatore FS card then I will be greatly disappointed and complain loudly, especially if the Cubs are getting a Maddux card.
Don't forget 99 Molina, something tells me these bozos will put 99 Pujols with Anaheim as a milestone.
