When I was in the military I once spent a summer in southern Mississippi. I had working air conditioning and it still nearly broke me. It takes a special brand of crazy to willingly live in that area of the country. lol

Ooof. Yeah I had to do it this Winter when it was between 0 and 15 degrees F here in North Texas. I would rather that over no AC during the heat anytime. Though if it was gonna happen this summer would be the best I ever lived in. Coolest Texas Summer I ever had. And I am 44. Also the most rain. And with the Winter we had? By far the coldest year I ever lived.

I feel bad for you guys, I really do.
I live on the South Shore of Montreal, Quebec and I was without power for close to 4 weeks back in January of 1998 after we were hit with what we refer to here as "THE" Icestorm.

At least it was winter for us and we could heat up with out fireplace, but you guys are facing incredible heat. I've read some articles on the current situation and it's not very reassuring.
I hope things get settled quickly.
