I disagree. As a Cardinals fan I hate to give too much credit to the other teams in the division but Williams has been excellent in Aug.
They have both pitched 14 innings. Both gave up 9 hits.
But Williams didn't give up any earned runs (Chafin gave up 2)
Williams struck out 22 batters compared to Chafins 13 -
Chafin’s mustache has a higher war though.

14IP/13K/2BB/2ER. Kinda splitting hairs. They've both been good, but he has not had a better month than Williams. And he wouldn't be nearly as fun of a card.

He was the first out of my bullpen for like a month. I really liked that card. He was basically unhittable for me until he got downgraded.

He's having a great Aug, but not enough to earn a lightning card. Shoot probably not good enough to even make the program.
As happy as I am to have a Signature Wainwright card I was really hoping that he would be one of the Monthly award cards. Seems like his accomplishments this year have been mostly ignored by SDS (yes, I am still salty that Max Fried had a moment for throwing a Maddux and Wainwright did not)

Get rid of Kimbrel. Do the BR program for aroldis or Jansen. RS Goose is maybe the best. Only one lefty. Bizarre. I recommend chapmam and soto for lefties.
