Arenado is the only good player in St. Louis. Imagine that trash team without him.
You mean the guy hitting .250 ? They are not great this year, that's for sure but Nolan isn't exactly reeling off an MVP season. He's been good at best.

Ok that doesn’t make sense. Goldschimdt has been better than arenado. Arenado, Tyler o Neil, jack flaherty, etc. we are over 500. Give me a break -

Yes, and a Lars Nootbaar monthly awards for what he has been doing. Did you guys see the 450 ft homer at Kauffman?!?!
Nah, that ain't happening.

He's better than anyone else they could have put at third base. He's on pace for 30 plus home runs and 100 RBIs. I'll take that.
Other than the HR's and RBIs though, he has had a rough August.

Wainwright is going to be the 99 POTM Lightning
-
I like to use Waino after deGrom. Two different styles and it's hard for most hitters to adjust.

Don't get me wrong? Arenado has been good. And the fact Goldy just started to hit, Dejong has been awful, Edmon fell off, Bader was hurt, the offense has just not clicked. I guess I just wish Nolan had Colorado type numbers and Goldy was his Arizona self.

Well, all Cardinal Fans wish that Goldy and Arenado were putting up those numbers, but on the flip side most Cardinal fans going into this year wanted to ship out O'Neill and Bader but they have exceeded most peoples expectations this year. And as far as I am concerned Bader is a HUGE asset in CF. That man makes some tremendous plays.

You're right, I was more contending with the guy who said Arenado was the "only good player on the trash team Cardinals." 11 world titles makes everyone angry who don't live in the Bronx. Yes, they've had their struggles this year and yet, they are 2 1/2 games out of the wild card and have an amazing track record of winning the WS when they sneak in. Do I think they'll win it all this year? No. But I didn't think they would in '06 or '11 either and thought they'd definitely win in '04 and '05.
So....you're right haha

I have to say that after playing the most Recent set of Topps Now moments I am a little upset.
There is a moment for Max Fried for pitching a Maddux using 90 pitches. He has already had one Topps Now moment this season and this is his second.
Meanwhile, Wainwright through one 9 days earlier on only 88 pitches and did not even warrant a moment. Instead, that week, we got a Moment for Chris Sale for pitching 5 innings in his comeback. A game where he gave up 6 hits and 2 earned runs in those 5 innings.
I sure hope we see one either for Sosa's 2 triples and 5 RBI game a couple nights ago or maybe Nootbaar's first career walk off hit, which won the game in extra innings.

Amen. Go cardinals. Even though they haven’t had a good year, I pull love to see a high diamond of one of their “diamonds in the rough” so to speak

He was a great Waiver Wire Pickup for my Fantasy Team

The man is killing it this season, especially for someone who turns 40 on Monday.
2nd most innings pitched this season. 169.2
2.97 ERA
1.03 Whip
1.70 ERA in Aug
2nd highest WAR among starting pitchers in Aug
Only one of three pitchers to throw a Maddux this season (9 innings pitched < 100 pitches)Still a silver pitcher. Gotta go Gold next update right? I know he does not have the sexy strikeout numbers but the other ratings should be good right?
or
He needs to at least be in the running for a POTM card or they need to release his Signature Series card soon right?
I actually hate the live card series for this reason. Waino is dominating and his attributes aren’t following his season progress. There are way to many guys who are gold and diamond who are playing so poorly and putting up way less stats. A lot of good players having great seasons still stuck in silver and bronze tiers. Very disappointed.
completely agree!! See Austin Riley - believe he's like a silver 78. .304 Avg. .915 OPS 28 HR 80 RBI, should be pushing 84 if not diamond.
-
What about Goldschmidt? I am investing in him
