Lets put it this way. The first thing you do when it drops is lock in the previous 3 bosses. You will get the full 50k(thats what it is not 70k. Next thing you do is conquest. Lets say 7 conquest games at 1500xp to keep it simple. 10,500 XP for playing the conquest games and 25k for completing it. You now have 85,500 XP but only 10,500 from playing the conquest games actually contributes toward the cap.
If it works the way it's supposed to work.
This isn't the first year they have had an XP cap. They have had it every year except for the 1st 5 months of 21. If they had an XP cap from the start, or they didn't state it in todays patch notes, almost no one would even notice its there

No, my account isn't glitched nor have I done any method outside of just playing normally for XP. I hit 350K a little over two days ago. And that was with me playing more than I'm going to be able to play stating this Inning.
That is my concern. Of I'm not going to be able to hit at least 350K because of being limited to how much XP I can earn when I can actually play! I'm not going to waste my time.
I'll just cut my losses and move on to another game where I don't have to worry about not being able to play WHEN and HOW LONG I want to play.
I would definitely move on if I were you. Spider-Man is a pretty fun game.
I wouldn’t expect the people who are upset because previous methods don’t work to say that’s why they are update either.

If you play enough in a day to worry about the cap, it'll be almost impossible for you to not get 350k. Even if you only played on weekends that adds up to almost 300k in a month just from gameplay alone, not counting whatever content you complete.

Exactly. Keep in mind the guys the coded this patch are the same ones who didn’t have the skills to just fix the exploit itself.
Question: How would you have them fix it without it having any affect at all on regular players?

What are the chances they coded these changes correctly and people do not lose EXP normally I would say were prolly safe but this year the track record for SDS kind of sucks

Just reduce xp from play now (which is primarily where the problem was) and potentially a slight nerf to xp in RTTS to keep in in line with conquest on an xp/hour basis. It’s not really hard and the blanket approach was entirely unnecessary.

The game isn't stopping you from playing. You are deciding that playing the game without XP is not worth it. There is a big difference.
I go back and forth on this. I understand the need to optimize your playtime, and that playing without earning XP is not optimal. But then there is also a part of me that says aren't we playing a baseball game because we enjoy baseball first and foremost?
It's a conundrum

If you are capped at xp, work towards getting your BR rewards, work on your event rewards, play RS and try to get to your 40 wins (only way I will get those cards because my [censored] cant make WS). There is still plenty of things to play for besides XP. Xp is really only good for the program anyway and that is one very small aspect of the game.

And how does that not affect legitimate players who use those two modes?
Or is it simply a better solution because you don't play those modes?

I've already hit my cap for the day. So I can't make any progress for the new innings program tonight through actually playing games. It was all of 3 hours of play.

It wasn't. It was from the 8-9 conquest games I played on the shark map and 5 innings of a Play vs CPU on All-Star.

Yeah I'm about done as well. I can't play this game every day because I do adult things like work so I can afford to buy this game every year. I spend the majority of my time playing on weekends so it's easy for me to hit the 35K cap just from playing games. This company makes some mind boggling choices.
And why do it at the end of the games cycle? They can [censored] right off.

35k is roughly 10 games of conquest on All Star. So now im limited to games where Iwaste my time with no XP. Thats no right. They let people stubs transfer and glitch xp with no ramifcations. Call of Duty can get rid of those people that cheat but the Show cant? Thats bs.

It seems they haven't turned double XP off but you have a regular XP cap. Thats an issue for sure, but you aren't getting that much XP for those games when double XP is not turned on
