102 mph FBs need to be nerfed

Not sure if this has been said, but I think the issue with overly fast heaters and bad timing windows has to do with the opponent, not with the individual playing their opponent. If you opponent has poor internet connection, get ready for terrible timing windows.

If they can't make a stable peer to peer connection then this has to happen. Constantly "too late" on 102 even when you know it's coming on all-star is ridiculous. Git gud doesn't cut it because I can go into practice on legend and be just late/good on any 100+ anywhere in the zone.
Sick of the swinging under water BS!
You might want to look into your internet or tv/monitor because I’m effortlessly early on Cabrera and DeGrom on legend.
So my wired fiber, $300 router and $400 monitor isn't good enough? Has nothing to do with internet and monitor. There are issues with connections/servers in this game and have been. Last 3 days I have been late on a ton of fastballs. More than likely sometime soon, I will be very early. Game is very inconsistent. I literally spend the first 3 innings of every RS game getting tendencies and trying to gauge the pitch speeds, usually so I can sell out on hard stuff only to be early and hit them foul. Game is not in a good place for me lately. Keeps it up and I will stop and play something else or watch TV. I would like to play but I am not going to get blown away by 94 on all star when I am looking for it.
Heard servers were in Florida, New Jersey, Chicago, Dallas, Denver and West Coast. Do you happen to be in or very close to one of those?
I would really like to play this since I got rid of google TV but playing against warping pitch speeds really isn't fun. If you don't experience this consider yourself lucky because if you did you wouldn't be effortlessly early on Cabrera and DeGrom in all star.
I’m with you on the issues, but the games doesn’t play on a server. You play P2P…. That’s why it’s so inconsistent. I’m pretty sure they don’t hold off servers at leastz they need too, and out one someone close to the panhandle lol

Have you tried changing DNS servers?
I did before. Ran benchmark and changed it to the best one on the router. It usually comes and goes. There are HOF games I am early and hit everything. Last 3 days have been the opposite.
-
Yep, I am hardwired in with as fast as an internet as ATT offers (and if DFW, not the boonies). Some games no problem being early on any of the 102 heaters on HOF, other days it seems way faster than casuals on legend and impossible to hit. You can always tell in the first inning what is in store

Doesn't a server have to be involved somewhere to log what is happening in the game? Just asking but without a server, couldn't this game be hacked on client side? I'm pretty sure that servers are involved. That is why you also get the server errors when connecting to opponent. Also don't think it is a coincidence that @CodyWolfgang_XBL is located in Denver and has no issues. If I knew exactly where the opponent was located, I could tell you the experience I would have. Places like New York, New Jersey, Florida, Chicago, Denver, Texas, etc will be bad.

All that just to still be late on fastballs lmao couldn’t be me
If it was me I would always be late. If the connection was stable and I was always late, I would say ok, I am old or just suck. This isn't about wins or losses as I have said many times. I have almost 300 losses with a ton of quits. I do not care about my record. Is the normal 102 on HOF something I can turn on or is it not and when I do that is the outlier? I flat don't know what the actual speed of a 102 fastball on all star, HOF or legend should be. I just know sometimes I can easily turn and sometimes I can't sniff it on all star. Just need consistency in a game where every ms counts.

I use extreme…I think the extra trail or whatever it causes on there helps to see the ball IMO. Doesn’t really bother me…it’s obviously a tick closer to real time. I feel like people say a tiny bit of input lag doesn’t matter, but if you add up every advantage you can get im pretty sure that sliver of time could turn a borderline just late swing to a good swing.

Oh, I make plenty of adjustments or I would never reach the WS. Just frustrating putting up 10 on DeGrom on HOF in 1.2 innings and then not sniffing him on all star. I mean which one is the right speed or it is in between? This is by far the most frustrating thing about this game and it isn't even close. I don't care what cards they release, I try a lot of them anyway.
-
I hate it too. I know the big problem is using a tv instead of a gaming monitor but I dont think i'm at the point where I am willing to shell out extra $ for that. As is, I have to cheat on it and just get fooled when other pitches come otherwise i dont have any hope of touching it

Some games you’re early in it, some you can’t touch it. It’s your opponent’s internet. If you can’t hit it just be early on everything the first inning and then hunt off speed. Most people won’t throw many after that.
-
I hate to jump into this, but I kind of feel like when come in and talk about legend, I feel like at that point you’re playing against people that are competitive, streamers, content creators and such, so they have good internet and the games aren’t as laggy and if they are you friendly… When you’re at the lower levels, I feel like your at the mercy of the player to player server with people just playing and it’s different thing.

I’ve learnt to watch the ball out of the hand more and it’s definitely helped. Sometimes I’m very early on the 102s. But rather that than late. It can be done on a normal TV. I played 99 JDG and the guy kept spamming 4sm to me and I hit 6/7 HRs before he quit

Do custom practice against Garrett Crochet, Codi H deGrom, or anyone who has that outlier quirk.
I also recommend going into your TV’s settings to see if it has a game mode for the picture/brightness. It helps if you have that on.
In-game, just make the pitcher work. Foul off close pitches, take ones off the plate, etc. If you tire him out, those 102 mph pitches will be less effective.
-
The 102mph pitchers are hard to hit but not impossible. What they need to do fix is how many times a pitcher can actually throw that hard AND how deep into games they're throwing 102.
