Well, to be fair, he's likely got so many profiles and characters to remember he just loses track of who he is supposed to be.
Also, shouldn't take on identities of personalities he isn't capable of representing. A "writing teacher" (that still makes me laugh) with a Doctorate and assorted degrees in Speech/English and comes across as someone that might actually be on a server in Mumbai working long distance (and cheaply) for this gaming company.
Perhaps not as dumb and transparent as perceived, just over burdened with an avalanche of profiles. And struggling with the finer points of the English language. Ha.

Ultimately, this line of thinking is relatively easy to fall into and can have pretty bad consequences. Because it can never be proven whether the OP is right or wrong, he can claim that he is right and feels a sense of superiority that he "figured out" who is who.
The bad consequence I refer to is the trap is the ease in relatively of just dismissing any fact or opinion as "secret people" who are trying to manipulate you. Now note that I am not saying that doesn't happen in the real world, it does. However, the person can ignore anything with a simple typing of one sentence and feel superior doing so.
In this forum instance it's relatively harmless, but the wider complications, such as the covid thing the OP referenced showcase how it can snowball.

Just because the media/government says it's true..doesn't mean it is...doesn't mean it isn't. But science is an constantly morphing and still relative beast.

Science is, on the abstract, exactly like an opinion..you can spin it..extract numbers out of context..or conduct studies with non-representative sample sets and come up with any propaganda you need to support a political agenda. That simple.

Ok, there are all kinds out here. Some sincere, some pretty sketchy. There are some folks that really seem to be all about helping out with this game. And, for the most part, they do a good job of it. Probably the primary focus of this forum I would imagine. To market and manage the product.
However, their are people that say the most ridiculous stuff. There is this one guy that tried to convince everyone he was an ex-triple A baseball player. And, TBH, that's not hard to believe. I'm sure this game appeals to ex-baseball players in general..by and large.
It's just this guy's entire narrative was so off. The main reason is he was so deadest on trying to make people believe he was. Just promoted his story way to hard. Those are the type that, typically, aren't.
Catfish always have an agenda. They'll go so far as to drag in fake pix and bogus identities, web-links, etc. thinking you can't possibly disprove such things.
Normally to establish credentials that should make them and expert on a relevant subject, or to build a relationship (those are the ones you really need to be careful of because it's typically not your better good they are concerned with).
So you younger kids, and even older kids. Be careful. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it might be a catfish.
The last several years have further demonstrated how willing people are to believe the most ridiculous things without any evidence, even when the consequences are life and death.
They have also demonstrated how far people will go to deny hard evidence if it doesn’t fit their narrative.
I’m acutely aware of how few people are able and willing to think critically, especially when influenced by a cult leader. Amazingly, I am still shocked every time I encounter such gullibility personally. Yes, people really are that dumb.
Believe it all comes down to the fact there exists a multitude of personalities, beliefs, backgrounds, and upbringings.
People lie once and you expect them to lie again.

Bobby..did you not see the stat I laid out there for you..it's 180,000,000 that haven't and, likely, won't take the vaccination. So, I suppose all of them are just like me. We know nothing..only Bobby and the other 150,000,000 know the truth.
