I recommend finding a solid league of similarly skilled players to join, or a group of people to play friendlies against. It can be nice to kick back and just play some baseball and not care about having to be on 1000% alert all game.

Can’t this game is [censored]. The fact that you have to play at a level just because you’re barely good enough is a joke. And if you don’t want to play at hall of fame or higher you have to rank your record.

Not sure what the deal is but the game is rarely not laggy.
Love my opponent stealing second and third constantly as my catcher double clutches the ball and won’t throw it.
Hitting is ridiculously hard right now. Nobody throws anything that isn’t a sinker or slider on the black or outside of the zone.
My opponents though all seem to be amazing at the game.They have 9-10 pitch at bats fouling off everything even stuff 6-8 inches out of the zone before eventually taking said pitch deep.
I know I’m not great but I don’t think that changes the fact that this game just blows [censored] online for many reasons.

Also, I’m 54 and play on a big TCL and I do just fine. I’m not worried about competing with uber meta players over 700, and you shouldn’t be either.
I think my tv in game mode is around 10 ms of input lag and you know what? Even with NO input lag at all, you still have to put the pci on the ball. Your monitor is not going to magically make your placement better.

10ms is very comparable with a lot of monitors and will serve you just fine
It has been good. I definitely have had to practice quite a lot. I think a lot of players believe a monitor will solve their hitting problems but for me, getting better input lag just helped with the timing.

It's probably a slow response time. It is essentially the delay from when you hit the button til when your TV reacts to it. That is very impressive.... I'm only a very casual player, but I was playing with a 8ms TV and just got a monitor last week for this game. With the TV I could not catch a 100mph fastball unless I pushed swing as the pitcher was releasing it... now I have zero timing issues. I wish they made a monitor that helped me place my PCI now.

I'm not a guru of monitors at all, but you must be pretty insecure of yourself to go out of your way to point out what I didn't mention or know in my post. Response time and input lag will both help your swing... but in my post I'm talking about response time... it is basically how fast your screen is changing frames and essentially giving you more time to react to a pitch. I love seeing guys who have such a sad life, that it makes them happy to insult strangers through a internet forum.... it's okay little buddy.... cheer up, it can't be that bad. Go outside and get some fresh air internet tough guy.

It made a huge difference for me. I don't know jack about monitors and how screens operate... but I know when I upgraded my T.V. from a response time of 8ms to a monitor of 1ms... it made a HUGE difference in my hitting. I went from not being able to hit any 97+ fastball online to having to readjust my hitting, because when I got the monitor I was early on everything and took a while to slow down and adjust. What is it about my comment that is so clueless you had to chime in and point out that I don't know what I'm talking about. Every single video I've ever seen of people playing the game are using a monitor and seen literally hundreds of posts here over the last couple years of people saying how much better it is hitting with a monitor??? Are you saying there isn't a big difference in 1 ms and 4 or even 8 ms??? Are you saying a monitor does not help a casual player hit??? Since you are obviously an expert.... why not enlighten us instead of just being a [censored] about it? I was just trying to share my experience with a monitor versus TV to the casual playing OP. Maybe I just need a superior video game genius like yourself to actually explain what I'm clueless about.... wish I could play you using my 8ms TV and see you hit a 102mph Degrom fastball with it.

Maybe your right.... but in my case upgrading to a monitor made a big difference for me. I can now play RS without striking out 15 times in a game. My internet is great and I still could not hit fastballs without guess and guessing makes you swing at ridiculous stuff. I could feel the difference as soon as I turned the game on in just navigating the menus.
