Curious to see the feedback this weekend
-
Remember everyone BB/9 is still the main factor for accuracy so please dont be mad when you get perfect pitch input with a 50 BB/9 pitcher and it doesn't go where you want it to go.
-
I mentioned this somewhere else, but if they want to make perfect-perfect tough to do, I'm fine with that. And whatever they want to call the next best outcome (good-good, I think, or good-squared up?) that is fine too. But hopefully this exit velocity switch makes those good-good, and good-squared up a bit more rewarding. I think that's the thing. I still get perfect-perfect a few times a game. I'm OK with that. But if good-good is the next best thing, it should still be giving us some good exit velocities; hard hits and decent results.
-
Let us hope that they have been testing it out and that this is it. SDS. You backed up your tweet stating, "We are listening." Thank you for that. This game can be really good. You showed us as much at release. We hope that you got this right.
-
That first bullet point actually gets me excited. Love that they are listening and making pitching more skill based. The increase in exit velocity is intriguing too. I'm not sure that this will reduce the amount of good/okays, but maybe those good/okays will be hit harder and result in more dropping in for hits.
Overall, I'm just happy they are listening to our feedback and attempting to rectify the issues that so many have with it

I agree but the attributes are all in play. All things equal, then yes, a good/good or whatever should have a higher percentage hit. Otherwise what is the point of all of the per 9's.

I will still be mad if that happens. If I'm off by the slightest of margins, then yes I agree. But if its legitimately perfect, it should go exactly where I put it (talking about analog pitching)

Point of the per 9s is to make it harder to get good PCI placement by making the PCI smaller as H/9 and K/9 increase. A squared up ball is a squared up ball regardless of who threw it. But squaring up Nolan Ryan should be significantly harder than squaring up, say, Bartolo Colon

Dont you underestimate 2005 Bartolo Colon and his 98 MPH FB

So perfect doesn’t mean perfect.... got it.
-
I do wonder, with the hitting it states "In competitive multi player" if this means only online play or if this will effect moments, showdown, and conquest, as well? Anyone care to speculate?

I wonder this too.

Maybe @Victor_SDS can shed some light as to whether this is strictly for RS, BR and events, or if the hitting/pitching changes will affect other game modes in DD like conquest, showdown and moments? Or even something like MTO.

But it does mean that perfect with Roy Oswalt (98 BB/9) is better and more consistent than perfect with Wade Miley (48 BB/9)

holy [censored] did I just read that perfect pitch inputs will see an increase to accuracy, and pitch accuracy across the board? I might just have to re install this

I don't need perfect to be pin point but there's no way you should be watching your perfect release sail to the heart of the plate and then over the fence.
