Sorry you lost. I think we’d all agree ironeyes_cody should never lose a game. If he does, it was definitely DDA.
SDS should change the game to that both players get a W! So that way everyone is happy and no one is sad! Remember, "there is no crying in baseball" and this addition to the game would help ensure there is no crying in baseball. We need equal wins in this game! Make it happen SDS!

Thank you..You've been watching my play. If you need any tips..just ask.

I suppose DDA effects every online sports game to a certain degree. But too often, in RS, it's just blatantly obvious.
We understand the marketing desire to create parity in online matches. You can't let the less talented look terrible, or the more talented look great all the time. The game developers gotta put adjustments in place to keep parity. It's been going on in the EA games for years.
Every year in MUT the community flocks to Youtube to share "Secrets" on how to glitch/gimmick in order to spaz out the AI. How to motion, how to sub, where to shift and shade. Because of the inherent glitches that people just figure out in order to nerf their plays it's hard to tell what the AI DDA is doing and where the AI exploitation points are. The game has got so many moving pieces it's not always easy to tell.
Not so in The Show. There isn't a whole lot of moving pieces. You pitch, you swing. So when playing RS (all of DD for that matter) and it's time for HAL to implement some DDA to create parity..it's pretty hard to hide. Just gigantic departures from reality and spun animation that doesn't begin to fit controller input.
Undoubtedly it's much more difficult for the Developers of this game to manipulate outcomes. Just can't hide it. And that's too bad..for the developers and the customers that experience it all the time.
So I'm not saying The Show's DDA is any worse than EA products, it's just so much easier for FUT and MUT to obscure it. It's always going to be obvious (I suppose) in DD which makes it so much more frustrating.
Played an RS game last night that was just a microcosm of all that destroys the interest in playing online. A 10 inning snoozer that culminated in my opponent hitting a 2-run homer (after striking out 18 times and having 2 total hits) in the top of the 10th. Then the AI making it "exciting" by letting me get a run and then throwing in some blatantly dumb animation to shut me down.
I'm to the point I'm afraid to play RS. I got a decent record, I've played a lot of hours and believe I'm average to decent at the game.
But, the game doesn't reflect skill. It reflects whatever outcome the AI dictates. I think most of us have some pride in our records. That's where the frustration and anxiety comes in. I don't mind losing to my opponent..But I absolutely HATE losing to the AI and my opponent getting credit for it
I don't give a fruck about any of the surplus of 99 Diamond's that are just dished out like candy and have about the same significance as dirt. I care about a game that can, at least, aspire to be immersive. A game that doesn't make its customers more frustrated than appreciative.
This is the only game I have ever played that just, literally, drives me to fury at times.
But, again, when you played one like I did last night where it's 10 innings (probably 30+ minutes) just down the $hitter wrapped in a fiasco of not just irrelevant animation (doesn't match up with anything coming out of my controller) but ignorant animation that depicts nothing I've ever seen in an MLB game. And I've watched a whole lot of baseball in my life.
I got nothing else. But this meandering stream of consciousness felt good to share.
It may be time for you to accept that maybe you just aren’t as good at the game as you think you are.

Geeh, another @ironeyes_cody_PSN complaint post, I thought we wouldn’t get one today

It's crazy the long posts and conspiracy theories people will sit there and come up with before just saying "I had a bad game"

HAL?
You must be thinking that this is strat-o-matic.
It's not bruh.

What is DDA?
-
I would like to thank SDS for allowing DDA to my way so often, that I have an average above .300 and a 40-4 record.
-
Guy didn’t score a run for 9 innings then loses and cries DDA stole a game from him
-
TLDR. I'm using that correctly, right?
-
I’ll take DDA any day of the week. Sht been part of this game for so long it’s just part of the game. The toxic buttholes that play the game however is getting extremely annoying. Bunt dancing, R2 holding, contact swinging, stealing home, spamming sinkers, [censored] logos. Bunch of middle school fruit loops bro. Getting on my nerves

What is DDA?
Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment
a.k.a little Billy Code.
Basically, an algorithm where the game nerfs the better player and boosts the inferior one to make a particular game "competitive".
Not coded into this game BTW, but tin foil hat theorists believe it is.
The horrendous RNG ranges of SDS are often confused with DDA.

Dereliction of
AccountabilityWhen you win, it's your incomparable stick skills.
When you lose, it's SDS tilting the playing field against you. -
Is this the same guy with multiple profiles? Sounds like the same stupid runny stinkin' Ship coming out of the same sack of Ship piehole. Ha. Enjoy my friend..trolls forever. BTW..the game really can be a Ship Show.
But, it didn't take this one loss to figure it out. Just that one loss to give me the inspiration to write it up. There will be more worthy of the same. So, jump on board anytime ya want.
BTW, Prob written more posts about games I've won. All I can say is you need to FOCUS. That's an acronym if you care to look. See ya tomorrow.

SDS needs to change the game for sure. A new marketing strategy that emphasizes this ain't no baseball simulation. It's Heavy on the DDA, light on the skill requirements.
Perhaps "Show" a little honesty and integrity to the people that pay for the game thinking they might actually be getting a product that has some real measure of competitive spirit. The Show couldn't carry a simulation's jockstrap. It's deception wrapped in a sham.
But, it sure is fun to watch that animation play out when ya win. Had to finish on a positive note.

Good? You mention the word good in regards to a game that puts no merit on good or bad. No one knows whether they are good, bad, average, or whatever. They know the outcome the animation displays.
It's a slot machine my friend. Sometimes you get 3 cherries, sometimes you get roo-roo'd.
