18 in a row.

Been playing for 4 years and getting worse every year. Lost 18 in a row ranked season games. Tried every setting possible. Maybe it's because I'm older (45) and eyesight gets worse after 40. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wow... I commend your spirit sir.
Are you playing on a TV? If so, is it on game mode? Low input lag is crucial.
Is your team built well?
Be extra patient. I mean, like when you think you're being very patient at the plate, be even more than that. Work for walks. It will lower the pitcher's stamina and confidence if he isn't throwing strikes, and will also break the other player's will, and eventually you'll start seeing meatballs
Some pointers...

Appreciate bud! I have a monitor. . Thanks again!

I agree on the tv. I’m 48 and went to a monitor last year. In 18 I made ws once and it was kind of lucky. In 19 I made ws every season had multiple 12-0 br runs and toward the end of the year set up sub accounts and began putting multiple teams into ws. Not saying I’m great only that the only difference for me between 18 and 19 was going from tv to monitor. Like you said as we get older eyesight goes reaction time slows etc. I don’t think I would play very well on a tv today.

Age 37 and went to the monitor a few years ago. It's like PED's for us older guys!!

Monitor works well I'm 49 and it helped me a lot..I can see the pitch now as opposed to guessing..Now I'm still not very good but it's made it more enjoyable to play for me at least..

Lay off low pitches and swing for the high strikes

Thanks for all the advice guys! I have a monitor, but spelled it wrong earlier. Changed a couple settings and am 2-0 today. Glad I'm not the only person over 30 playing.

Dude, I'm 56 and still grinding on the this game! Now, I buy it because I like to play offline franchise seasons (all 162 games). So I just adjust my sliders a little and it's enjoyable. I play online some and I've noticed I'm struggling more this year more than ever, with hitting. Too me, my plate discipline is the culprit. But it's not a big deal to me because online is just a diversion for me.

Ugh as a 35 year who does the first time is struggling in MLB this post scares me I still use a TV tho.

42 with a monitor. Pitch speeds in ranked are crushing me. Ugh...the high fastballs are not hittable for me. I sit up and in with the pci..brutal

I’m 41 with a 10 year old Vizio on Game mode. Haven’t made it to play an RS game yet but slowly working through some Event games and in the middle of a good (for me) initial BR run (6-1 with Acuña as the 9 win reward). In 3 custom leagues as well so I hope to continue getting better.

I wish the game was geared for tv users. It would still give the monitor users an advantage, which is fine by me, but I feel like the timing window and pitch speeds are geared for monitor users and you’re pretty much SOL if you play on a tv that has greater than a 15ms input lag.

I'm 43 years old, at least this game has a good mix of youth, and older crowd playing.
-
42 here. Just have a pretty crappy 32 inch that I play on. Good to see the older crowd around.

It’s not the pitch speed that’s the real issue it’s the swing timing windows. You could deal with faster pitches if they hadn’t messed up the swing timing windows. People are just swinging crazily and getting rewarded, that’s not skill, they’re just spazzing at the plate and swinging like crazy as early as possible.

63 here and love playing. I just sucked it up and started on a monitor yesterday and it does make a big difference. No I can compete a little better.
