    Jeter wouldn't play anyway.

I was thinking this... what do y’all think the power attributes would look like?

    88-100

Lmao. I really hope you’re joking.

    I'm surprised he didn't say 125 power...

Just looked up his info. It is actually worse then I could image lol.
    Jeter in a nut shell
Never played 160 games to 162 in one season! ( cal ripken) lol
44 doubles best year, 39 doubles twice thats a joke for a so called great hitter !
102 RBI HIGH mark, 97 once, then 84 lol. Avg mark 77 for a season that is bad! 24 homers high mark lol wow , 3 times over 20 what a joke. .310 career avg hitter. Also was an awful fielding SS lol. Just look him up. Most say below avg fielder in his career. So what was so good about jeter great at inside outing a ball , used to see him do it so much on inside pitches, instead of Turning and hitting it down the 3rd base line or down left field line , he fights it off between 1st and 2nd or over 2B head, yes he came through for Yankees in the clutch, but he played for amazing team alot and had a ton of opportunities to do it. Not like Mr Mike trout. So to any true die hard Yankee fans that watched him play year in year out tell me why jeter is so hyped up? How do u defend his lame [censored] offensive and defensive numbers? Yes he got 3000 hits ! Great mark for sure. Being able to perform for a long career is always impressive, might be the most impressive thing, just look at Eddie Murray! Steady Eddie

Wow such hate, such surface stats, no ratios of course go figure let's use rbi and hrs for a fkin leadoff hitter as our metrics

You know Jeter is 19th all time in offensive WAR?

92nd in total WAR. Deserves to be a HOF but only gets the publicity because he played for the Yankees.

92nd in WAR puts him right where Larry Walker is, Barry Larkin, Thome, Alan Trammell.

Great HOF player. But doesn’t deserve the hype and I think that’s where the hate comes from. He’s talked about like some legendary god. He was a mediocre fielder in a time where SS was viewed as more of a defensive position.

Ramone said there will be new legend(s), Jeter was on the Jump Start pack.
It will be a huge reveal during the live stream, and then you’ll return to this post to comment “Wow, you were right!’

    I found kieran

Absolutely. Fits with his thinking he could hit MLB pitcher as well. Stupid scenarios like that were/are right in line with his MO.

By the way, Judge volunteering to play CF tonight shows just how terrible of a teammate Jeter actually was and deserves to have his reputation trashed.

Jeter COULD have moved to 3B to accommodate ARod, but chose to put his ego ahead of the team and actively made the team worse by refusing to move.

I understand the fascination from yankee fans for a Jeter card, but how usable in this game would he really be? High contact, low power, and average defense doesn't play in this game. Can't see having anymore than 70s power and maybe low gold defense...maybe

What makes you think Jeter would ever be “low power”? Jackie has 88 power for 137 career HRs. Jeter has about twice as many in about twice as many games. So if it was a prime card or a postseason card it could easily be slightly above Jackie (and justifyably so) with maybe 93-95 pop

Jackie had a career .474 SLG and .162 ISO
Jeter had a career .440 SLG and .130 ISO

So no, Jeter wouldn't be slightly above Jackie in power. He would be quite a bit below Jackie..

And if you want to bring up Derek playing twice as many games as Jackie, please don't... There's quite a big reason for that.

A similarly accurate card to Derek Jeter would be Robin Yount... That's the accurate level of excitement of a Jeter card to everyone but Yankee fans

What if it’s a postseason card? That’s where your argument falls apart

Average speed SS with no pop... Nothing more than a glorified Michael Young... Who cares?

Not really.. Jeter has a .465 SLG in postseason. Not much different..
Jeter didn't have power man.. that's it... He had amazing ability to inside out anything for base hits. He had lots of great offensive abilities. Power? Not one of them.
He hit 20+ homers 3 times in his 20 year career, and never more than 24.

Is Derek your uncle? Starting to think he is
