Who plays or played real baseball in there life?

Just curious to see who actually played or still plays baseball. I’m playing in college and a lot of us play . It does hurt to see people cheese unrealistic stuff like high sinkers or the old baserunning cheese that’d never work in a real game.
-
I still play and I’m 21. I play in a men’s league with some of my friends from high school and it’s a lot of fun. My 1 friend and I started in this league 2 years ago and we have about 10 other guys we knew from high school playing with us now so that’s cool.
To be totally honest I throw a lot of high sinkers and I didn’t realize it was considered cheese. I don’t follow the forums or MLB youtubers much anymore so I don’t know what’s considered cheese these days. Honestly it’s a good pitch in the game and I’ve come to the realization that a lot of stuff that happens in this game wouldn’t work or happen in real life, so stuff like cheese doesn’t really bother me. If it works and helps you win I can’t stop ya!

I pitched 4 years in college, and play in a men's league now as well as coach high school ball.

I was all state in high school baseball. Also played for the team that had the most wins in a row in US history. My hometown was on sports center when we did it.
I played college Football, but quit my freshmen year.
Baseball was always my best sport. But I had some personal stuff going on and struggled as a senior. When I was a junior I hit .428 with 12 HRs

I still play at 42. I played all through high school and was drafted by the Cubs as a pitcher in very late rounds. Went and played in College and got injured. Played semi-pro ball in the US, Europe and Australia as a position player. I now live in Australia and play at the division 1 level here. Played against Acuna Jr. and Peter Moylan and other minor and major leaguers when they have come to play here in the off-season.

I was drafted by the Braves in the mid 90’s. Unfortunately got hurt. This game is nowhere close to simulation, the nerfed hitting is proof of that.
Squared up 95 MPH fastball leaves the bat at 93 MPH? GTFOH SDS, your game is broke or scripted. Prove me wrong.

Still playing in a adult league. 26 years okd

Was all team in highschool then played a few years in a Babe ruth wooden bat league. I miss pitching so bad
-
I was MVP of a state champion team in 1973. Got a 4 year ride to a D1 college. Played until I was 38. Claim to fame is I played HS ball with George Brett he was 2 years older than me.

Hell yeah men’s league! I’ve been managing a team since I was 19.

If I could, i would. But i live in a climate where winter lasts 7-8 months of the year and baseball isn't a very big sport here. Old man softball for me.

I played a guy today who used Oswald, not one high sinker. He threw everything low and I couldn’t do anything with it. I couldn’t even be mad, I got straight up outplayed

I played low level semi pro for a couple years. Couple dislocations, tears, and concussions later and that was it.

AA for the Royals. 2 time minor league all star. Got hurt and got lazy. Enjoyed partying during the off season instead of working out like I should have. I worked very hard in Junior College and went to a premier D-1 school. Although I still put up good numbers, the lack of working out eventually caught up to me. So my friendly advice is: No matter how good you are in college or the majors do not take it for granted and continue to work out and get better.
I also stopped going to school my senior year because all I wanted to do was play ball. Since I got lazy and did not make the majors, I had to go back to school to finish my degree. Keep going to school and keep working out so you have something to fall back on if it doesn't work out for you or you just are not good enough to go any further in baseball.

Use to play, retired in 2014. got a d3 juco college world series ring this past year while being pitching coach for Cumberland Dukes. Pretty sweet but my career ended with 2 shoulder tears and a herniated disc.
Harsh man. How’s the shoulder now?
