Sliders dont work online and you can only play on legend if you and your opponent are 900 or higher in RS. OP was speaking of skill divide, not playing against the lowly ole CPU.
Just FYI I think pitch speeds are fine.

They’re pretty dang fast when you get up past 700 in RS. I got that outlier pitcher kopech and dude couldn’t touch his fastball all game....like at all....I could literally throw it down the middle (and did a few times because I’m not great at pitching.) also I had trouble adjusting to the fastball as well after playing on all star. It’s fast....definitely feels faster than last year

I just re-read my post. I got it backwards. I am an idiot. Yes speeds are faster this year hall of fame and up. Its almost not fun.

Last year I loved playing on legend. This year it’s not fun to me. It makes me feel like I’m bad at the game

Is it the pitch speeds or the pitcher-batter interface? I don't think the interface is near as crisp as last year's. Seems fuzzy or something.

I really think something is off with the pitcher-batter interface. Just don't like it.

What mode are you playing? No way pitch speeds are faster this year. I played 19 until the day 20 came out and pitch speeds in HOF 19 are faster than Legend+ in 20. High or inside fastballs in 19 were tough to get around on. I was definitely more late than early in 19 and it’s the exact opposite in 20, on a higher setting. In HOF 20 I scored 18 runs on 21 hits in my 2nd 9 inning game. Had perfect perfect a 1/2 dozen times. Still trying to find balance on dynamic difficulty as I’m currently Legend+ batting and AS+ bordering on HOF pitching. I’m still scoring 4-5 runs in 5 inning games while CPU is scoring 0-2.

I think it's more of those off speed pitches being exactly what their speed is suppose to be..People always geared up and could be a tick off and hammer them.Now u actually have to wait and keep your hands back to actually hit them..78 mph Curve seems like a 78 mph curve and not coming in at a speeded up pitch when it shouldn't be anyway u have to be patient on them..JMO..

Honestly i havent minded the pitch speeds, im more concerned when i hit 3 perfect/perfects in 1 inning they all go right to a fielder, then my opponent takes a pitch outside the zone on justlate/weak for a [censored] double.

I still think it's that they made the timing window too small that's giving people problems, more than the pitch speed itself.

I haven't played enough RS, but SDS needs to up the speed on cutters. I feel like Kubler's curve is faster than his cutter. Actually, cutters feel slower than most curves and changeups. I don't see how Rivera is going to be a top notch closer in this game.

I like the progression of pitch speeds, MLB 19 was a leap forward and 20 is better with patch 1.04, I hope they refine it so noobs/casuals will never ever dare try it!!! Unless they practice for hours and hours till they can enter the prestige skill level of Legend Hitting/Pitch Speeds 10
